I never quite understood why people always take Bioshock1/2 to be a UE3 game :???:

its UE2.5 right? i guess its because the unreal logo is there so people just assume its UE3.

On another not Splinter conviction looks to be ditching UE2.5 and going with one of ubisofts proprietary engines.

Yes both bioshock games are modified UE2.5 & no Splinter Cell Conviction is still using the same Lead Engine used in previous game, otherwise known as.....heavily modified Unreal Engine 2.5 :)

Thanks ps360 for the lock vs unlock comparison

how come "unlock the framerate" results a lower avg framerate while having an insane amount of tearing?

The cutscenes look limited to 30fps - why not test gameplay unlocked?

It definitely isn't very good! It's "AvP", lol!

On a serious note: can we get comparisons between single and multi? I know you can't get like for like, but I'm interested in a baseline, if possible.

It was actually developed in Belgium by Larian. The PC version at least was great.

48% tearing for the console version doesn't sound good though.

Thanks for the SEGA racing analysis, I assume that Xbox 360 analysis is with the day 1 patch applied?
