Both conferences were good and had some exciting portions. MS seemed more polish with better pacing/presentation. Although not a Sony game, Battlefront looked the most impressive to me.

For MS: Pro: BC, Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Forza 6 Con: No KI Season 3 announcement/Elite controller price
For Sony: Pro: Uncharted 4, SFV, Battlefront Con: No God of War announcement/Last Guardian presentation/awkward presenters. Undecided: FFVII remake (no gameplay/just CG trailer)

MS seem to do better at getting the info out there and looks to be following it up with the Xbox Daily show. I caught it yesterday and it does a good job of answering questions in a less rushed format that would've hampered the keynote. Today they will go into more details regarding the Elite controller and will present other announcements that weren't at the keynote.

I thought the MS conference was a bit tighter, and had more stuff actually coming in the short term, but on the other hand had very few surprises. I can easily see how the press would award it to Sony, as they simply catered to the press and hardcore fan base really efficiently for the most part, even if it amounted to merely half promises mostly. But Sony still had more stuff I was actually interested in playing. Then VR and AR are things I am really hot for, and here I was really underwhelmed by what Sony had to show - I liked the GDC presentation better. I'd have loved to see something as cool as what Microsoft did with Minecraft. Hopefully we get some more from the show floor.

Well I must say that the Final Fantasy 7 announecment almost made tears in my eyes. Its like meeting again your long lost best friends or revisiting one of the greatest dreams you have ever had

I probably asked this a dozen times, but has it been confirmed whether Tomb Raider is exclusive or time-exclusive?

Not a word.

But the whole FF7 Remake exclusivity thing seems to also be quite ambiguous. First at the Sony conference they say it will come 'first' to PS4. Then at the Square conference itself, they said it's being developed 'for PS4'.

These pesky SquareEnix boys and their dubious claims... In the end I'd be very, very surprised if either game (or subsequent re-re-re-remakes) won't come out on every platform that will ever be created after 2013.

For these holidays TR will be exclusive on XBOX. Other platforms will get it much later

Not really. The 'Holiday 2015' means nothing regards release date because the release date is explicit. Nov 10th. So that Holiday 2015 on a separate line must be in relation to the exclusivity, ergo XB1 has it exclusively over the holiday, other platforms have it later. How much later is unknown.

I also thought that it could mean 'exclusive forever, coming out in the holiday period 2015'. But I'd bet my mother on the simple fact that if MS really did get TR as an exclusive forever, they'd be shouting that very clearly from the rooftops.

Anyways... It's a real shame there's no reallife eye-candy on the E3 booth floor anymore.
