Small new clip of heavenly sword during "HEROES"

This is what I think when I hear in-game engine but maybe there is something I am misinterpreting because after seeing the "in-game engine" cutscenes with Andy Serkis' king I call bullshit. If what the folk say is true than congrats you have blown me away, but I am skeptical. Cutscene objects almost always have more detail (I don't know how that works but I have eyes), and there is no way that zooming would bring that level of detail.

yeah i know,i always hated this thing,in ffx it was ridiculus the difference between in game model and cut scene model,in ffxii is less visible but always annoying (for me).I love to rotate the camera and see the fine detail of a model in game that, for me,it must be the highest possible.I believe that ps3 finally can throw away this thing....

I really hope that uncharted use the same model for cut scene and in game. Please naughty dog

Sir,

Don't feel bad it's the weekend!!! We all get fooled but look at the brightside, the fact that we can even discuss confusion of what was once assumed CGmovie and Inengine movie (cutscene). The lines will get blurrier and blurrier and it is a testement to the teams beind our fav games

Hi Red 5,

The DOF in-game is good but not THAT good. Better specular on the eyes is something we are working on and other techy bits to help improve the lighting response on the blend-shapes.

If these come together, then the layman should not be able to distinguish that screenshot from the final result. Fingers crossed!!!

Tameem

Wow! My fingers are crossed :)

I still feel a bit iffy on the term "in-engine" but either way the game is beautiful and will likely get beautifuller [sic]. The component that impresses me the most w/ HS is the fluidity in movement along with the camera that - with the limited action I've seen - seems to capture the best angles in the game.

Here it is.

Imagine this in motion...
:runaway:

DOF/blur is a bit too nice maybe for realtime... but the skin shading, especially the specular (or is that reflection instead?) is very very cool.

So how about some screenshot/movie overload? :D

Come on, you guys gotta be kidding. That thing looks like a painting (again in my noobish eyes).

Sorry if I try to downplay it, but it's just crazy. I will "wait and see" (TM)
