... yes, the grass really does look that amazing during game play.

Okay so the game isn't finished, but it seems way behind the 360 counterpart. I thought the engine "neon" was co-developed by Sony? The rearview mirror is troublesome.
Take the drop in frame-rate issue that reared its ugly head on some of the busier tracks - its been totally stripped away and the PS3 game runs at a solid 30 frames-per-second, even when there are half a dozen cars jostling to get ahead of one another. Some might say the 360 version should've been like that in the first place and they'd be right, but it's good to see Codies has at least used this time to make the best game possible for PS3.
The same applies to the audio, which is now cranked out in Dolby 7.1 rather than 5.1. Only those fortunate enough to play on a kick-ass set-up will benefit but it all goes to show that Colin McRae DiRT has been properly optimised for Sony's next-gen machine.
Gamersyde have some new Dirt screenshots. Looks much improved from those jeuxfrance images, though no tangible difference from the 360 build.

Dirt is rendered at 1080p in this e3 interview http://www.baysidevideoproductions.com/dirt%20interview.mp4
supposed to have a demo before its released.
so is there actually multiplayer, or just leaderboards? i couldn't really understand what he said.
Dirt demo on PSN. also NCAA football demo and other stuff for anyone who cares.
I wasn't impressed with the demo. No AA, bad shadows, screen tearing. Motorstorm, a launch title, puts it to shame. The bloom effect was turned down a notch, which is a good thing. Frame rate was also good, but overall it doesn't look as good as the 360 demo, which I had running at the same time.
Wow there's a lot of stuff missing in those comparison pics. Signs, spectators, trees and grass. Also the lighting looks toned down a bit.I wasn't impressed with the demo. I should mention that the PS3 version is running at 720P and my TV is scaling it to 1080P, where the 360 is scaling it to 1080P. It may be the 360 has a better scaling algorithm making something look different.
Also I'm not in the market for either version, my buddy bought it and I could take it for months and he'd never miss it (he buys games, doesn't play them).
