[PS3] LittleBigPlanet Impressions

The wheel was the only part of the game where I got stuck for a bit. Took me about 30mins or so to figure it out. Most of it is just dumb luck to get through.

yeah, it's far from impossible...I did it 2nd attempt tonight after not playing LBP for a couple of weeks.

I've filmed it and am happy to send to whoever wabts - I'll look into sticking it 'online' tomorrow - but it's 167mb so quite hefty.

What I did forget was that you have to make the first jump - there's a pyramid of 3 point bubbles - you wait there grabbing the floor, then drop onto the ceiling, go left, but as you drop go right whilst falling.

wow, that was relatively painless! not sure how to add it as a window you can click tho?

Just tried editing in the YT tag and it messes up.

Still, nice example. It look like launching from level ground is most important. I did feel tense just watching, but it does look like the skills are in the reach of normal gamers as long as they have the patience. Maybe eventually I'll manage this and get a platinum? :D

yeah, just takes some trial and error...I nearly screwed up on the outer ring but managed to pull it back (just! :D).

anyway, be inetersting to see if this helps or hinders folk :)

This works fine here?

Mod : Copied and pasted. I think a fragment of link messed up the embed when the YT code was copied.

Ahem, not for my skill level. I forgot if there's any difficulty setting for LBP. Is it one difficulty for all ?
One difficulty setting to rule them all. Not sure how a difficulty setting could make the Wheel easier. Slow it down maybe? :p

Simple really, just tag along with someone else through the hard parts. I never got past the wheel myself, but a friend did. That's the advantage of co-op.

Finishing it is easy, unless you consider a platinum trophy finishing it, then it will be hard.

Yeah I'll probably stick to it and finish it as I really want to see the remaining levels, I just adore the kooky art style of this game, it's absolutely brilliant. I got so pissed at that spinning wheels sensei level Shifty mentioned that I yanked the game out, deleted the install, moved my save to a usb thumb drive and put the game on my for sale pile. Then a few days later I went back, reinstalled it, copied my save back, tried that level one more time and beat it on my first try. Go figure, maybe I just needed a break :)

indeed, that bit can be REALLY frustrating, even now ('helping' the kids)...but like you say, sometimes a break helps
