[PS3] LittleBigPlanet Impressions

Does LBP have water ? I have never seen water in a LBP water/ocean level. I think fluid is simulated, so blood spurt will be abstracted. Should be fine in that case. Jaeyden, Shifty and deepbrown would know best.

Blood spurt using red Paint would work, and spread blood all over the scenery. I imagine if its comic, you'd get away with it. At least, it's not realistic, no matter what you do. You're objects will look like dolls or cardboard cutouts. Worst case, they ask you to remove the blood, in which case you just disable the emitters. Heck, you could even have a switch at the start, although you may end up with some complex Logic circuitry to include it (why haven't we got Logic components yet?!!).

Patsu, a waterfall could be simulated IMHO - much like my rainclouds but more frequent raindrops! ;)

Shifty, cheers - that's exactly what I was thinking but it sounds like I'd get a slap...hhmmm maybe the old Ninty 'green blood' is the answer?

I think I've figured out how to make something have 2 switches on it - this was doing my head in and yet the answer was so simple (if it works)...wow, now I'm thinking up even more ideas of what I could do with this I just wish i had the ability and time to match the ideas! :(

Thanks for the input! :)

Ah, I see. Haven't played your level.

Do we have a list of B3D creations ? My family will be away tomorrow for 3 weeks. Should be able to do a pretty good run in LBP or other games when (should !) I get off work.

EDIT: The B3D creators are:
Jaeyden, Shifty, deepbrown, eb, tha_con and who else ?
I can hit one creator by one creator.

I really don't know. Media Molecule favourited a level with Mr. and Mrs. Ghouls from the Chapter 2 of the LittleBigStory engaging in 'post-marital activites'. That was really pushing the censorship limits!

Check out the Logic levels that provide prebuilt circuit bits (AND gates, OR gates, etc.). Once you get used to it, it's very straightforward. I tend to build gates on the fly rather than use prebuilt ones.

patsu - I'm "goonergaz" on PSN my best level is "monster kong" but feel free to try out the rest :)

shifty, thanks (again) I'll check out that level and what's the logic ones with prebuilt stuff? Are they easy to find?

I've been tossing this in the system every once in a while slowly working on a level that I'm fleshing out. Just have so many games right now. Though, I enjoy creating when it happens between sessions as opposed to back to back. I tend to be more "creative" that way.

If you look up my Hearted levels, you'll find the best one I came across. Media Molecule hearted the same one, but it's easier to find among my few hearted levels than their thousands! They also hearted a few others but they are mammoth contraptions. The best one for building with IMO is the mini sized devices. Personally I use blocks aligned to the grid for neatness.

Media Molecule wins five Develop Awards

http://www.develop-online.net/news/32411/Media-Molecule-wins-five-Develop-Awards

That's the most an individual company has ever won on a single night at the awards, which have been running for seven years and are the most respected awards for games developers.

The awards are:
* Creativity (Best New IP)
* Creativity (Visual Arts)
* Technology and Services (Technical Innovation)
* Studios (Best New Studio)
* Studios (Best Independent Developer)

On a related note, Phil won the Development Legend award.

Very cool for LBP. Out of all the games on PS3, I'd have to say this is the one I miss the most by not having a PS3. The rest of the games I can do without, they don't have much of a draw for me. But this one is pretty cool and unique.

Regards,
SB

Wow ! This game should sell much much more than it did ! There's something wrong with people out there, they think this stuff is for kids ! My own friend was devastated to hear that I pre-ordered and spent $60 on a chubby-fluffy platformer !

Wait till Phil sees this ! hahaahhahahaha !BTW, patsu, you still got his name wrong Its not Conceptcus !
@JPT: should sell more like those CODs and Gears ! I had thought it was the next big thing!

Hey!!! Who said my last name isn't Harrison? ;)

....although, with the amount of time I spend on planet Helghan, I probably wouldn't have time to earn any rewards at all... :oops: :D

But thanks for the flowers... *very flattered*. Maybe we can still pretend I'm the one?
