You know what's great, a console with a HD 6870 or equivalent would easily be able to run Battlefield 3 at 1080p 60 fps, probably even on Ultra.

Kinect is MS' bet for the future of UI, like the mouse and multitouch before it - it isn't just some gimmick to lure casuals. They definitely take it seriously, as can be seen by Kinect for Windows and the videos like this where they show Kinect's potential for non-gaming applications.

If true they would be missing out on a lot of the hardware profits they've been getting this gen from Kinect. Also contrary to what many here think I don't really think MS ever cared for Kinect to be taken seriously as a platform for core games, I've really only ever thought that they wanted Kinect to be a quick cash in on casuals. I think they'll stick with that strategy next-gen.
