To keep the multiple themes going here i would like to correct some information about HD discs. As an hd dvd owner i can play some/many of my discs in my son's dvd player. They are combo dics, hd dvd one-side dvd the other side, they do cost more, but it is one of the bullet points that marketing points out.

A good point at that. Because of the combo disks, for releases that come on both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, I will get the combo version so I have the additional felxibility so I can play it in all rooms in my house.

I wasn't sold on the combo disks originally, but at this point, I prefer it!

I was under the impression that Warner had changed its mind and was stopping new combo discs from being released.

300 was just released (2 weeks ago) as a combo.
