Save the colour, it makes sense. I like the Slim more than the original, both slims. The XB360 slim looks quite similar to the original XB360... its the super slim model that diverged somewhat.
Well, this year is going to be a really good for the Xbox One in the exclusive department. Twitter announcement from Phil Spencer, just hours ago. What about AAA exclusive titles?
We should have new exclusive IP at E3. I'm trying to make this E3 more about 1st party than past E3s.
This is going to be a fun year. I think it might be our best 1st party content year ever
Quantum break seems delayed
First up, users will be able to turn their consoles on or off directly from the Xbox One SmartGlass beta apps on Windows, Windows Phone and Android. Also, the console will support Miracast screen mirroring from Windows PCs, Windows Phone 8 and some Android devices, including the Samsung S5 and Nexus 7. This allows users to display photos and videos from their smaller devices on the Xbox One screen. May also brings some Windows 10 updates: Preview members will have the option to stream live TV from the console to a PC with the Xbox app or directly to the SmartGlass app. To make this magic happen, users in Europe or Australia need an Xbox One Digital TV Tuner, while those in the US and Canada can use the Hauppauge 955Q TV Tuner.
That's a dream come true! I've watched the video and read the notes, but I don't see how you can stream games from your PC to your Xbox One. Am I missing anything?Nice, so you can basically steam anything from your PC, including games, via your XBO to the TV without needing a Miracast/WiDi adapter. Oh and anything else that use Miracast to display content.
It's certainly becoming more and more of a "do everything" box in the living room.

SB

Ah okay, thanks. I have Windows 8.1 Pro and I thought of Miracast because we talked about it time ago -joker454 brought up the subject-. The thing is... my Intel HD3000 GPU doesn't allow Miracast -Intel enabled it in the HD4000 GPU series- because Intel didn't want to. My laptop's APU (i5-2450m) was among the best back in the day but it was launched when the first APUs featuring Intel HD4000 GPUs and they used Miracast as one of the lures to upgrade or get the most advanced APUs for laptops.Miracast allows you to use any Miracast receiver as a display. So you just basically turn the XBO into a display for your PC. You can also buy a 50-100 USD Miracast/WiDi dongle for your TV and do the same thing, but this would allow you to do it for free if you don't have one.
Oh and assuming Windows 8.1, which supports Miracast.

Software support is the issue here. Because 2nd generation GPUs (Intel HD3000) don't support Miracast via software (oddly enough they support it on the Intel HD 2500). The Intel HD3000 supports WiDi but the Wi-Fi adapter of my laptop isn't from Intel, so they technically don't give WiDi support either.Miracast is just a software protocol on top of Wifi, it has nothing to do with your GPU. Anything that can do Wifi Direct can do Miracast (if there is software support).
However, manufactures wants to sell you new devices with Miracast capability instead of spending money updating old devices.
Cheers
Going to have to play with this, I have a setups with HD 2500 & HD 4600 - both are wired though and disabled. Oh wait I do have a SurfaceP3, but I wanted to test streaming PC games not slideshows of games. ;P
That's good news, especially the 60 fps thing. I can't imagine how much of an improvement the framerate is going to be, Gears of War at 60 fps is a experience I'd want to live at least once. Good memories from the series. Not sure where to put this because it isn't official. To soon for a dedicated thread maybe. Gears of War remaster screens leaked.
