Sheeet After three + years of development... and still just trailers to date, it needs to look that good while playing it. 07 will be the real battle for next gen!

Yeah that's what I suspect too because it fits current MGS "framework" most naturally. I was hoping for some breakthrough in gameplay since there is "no where to hide" in this instalment.

Looks like they fixed the frame rate issues that the physics engine caused , which is good

man I really hope those mini cow gears really do behave that way , it will be so awesome , I’m finally exited about next gen .

I'm pretty sure it will look as good when you are playing it. MGS has never disappointed me, I only believe in one god and that is Kojima. ;)

Even in the trailers, MGS has always been realtime. ;)

That's seeming most plausible. Often games are showcased with cutscenes rather than actually player running around playing, for several reasons. Maybe the animation system and NPC behaviour is built arond the same engine in game, but with much more limited interactivity, so you don't spontaneously get characters patting each other on the shoulder, dragging them into cover, or whatnot?

Clearly an impressive trailer but i really wished we would get a glimpse of actual gameplay. Are we supposed to see something at TGS?

Interesting you bring up the pat on the shoulder bit, this wasnt the first time we have seen kojima do that in a mgs4 trailer. IIRC the first mgs4 showing did it in first person view. Not that it means anything, just saying its interesting hes taken the time to do it more than once.
I doubt we will see gameplay until next year. Thats just my guess though.

Shifty , frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if they did , this is after all a game from a man who is so damned anal that he insisted that the ice cubes on the tanker level in MGS2 had to melt in different speeds( those close to each other would take longer to melt) when there was only one goddamn ice-jar in the entire game.

then of course there was that thing with the rain.

It's very greenish looking. Also, in some images there's like a fog everywhere, like some kind of vasaline-cam. Otherwise, it looks very nice.

As cool as the video was, it should be illegal to release shaky cam footage.

To be fair, I dont think the camera shaked at all. It was the camera in the trailer that moved around.

Is this trailer available somewhere else? I get horrible speeds from Gamevideos everytime, even streaming is basically useless.
