I was replying to SHifty'sBitch (lol) calling Destiny work. It is not an MMO style grind, its a smooth shooter with some Magic thrown in, it is NOT work !/QUOTE]

You've been playing the same version of MGS for 25 years?

.

You won't be playing the same version of Destiny either :yep2:. Like I said before, IIRC the deal is for 3 games. 3 games in 10 years is very feasible/normal. People are just misunderstanding everything regarding Destiny. Its the Diablo/ARPG of shooters, not really an MMO.

And, of course, it will take time to get your Legendaries, but why willit be work when the game is fun? I never found playing Warframe 'work' even if I was playing to get that coveted mod, cos its plain super fun.

And frankly,Warframe is much more complex than Destiny. Destiny is just a fun shooter where Devs can keep adding missions as the game moves along.

Can we talk about last light in this thread? Because if we can, don't buy it. All we can pray for is that however made the AI, game design and signed off on it never ever gets to work on another game.

Enemies spawning per half a dozen and constantly hugging up to you? Should have made a game with melee combat, not guns.

I agree that both games were extremely buggy on the 360. Game halting buggy like npcs not letting you progress through the level cuz they wont fucking move out of the way! Still with that said I enjoyed both games alot when they worked properly. I will be picking up Redux day one on the X1. It and The Evil Within will be my next purchases. Damn this summer drought.

It will be interesting to see how much they fixed for this release. I never played any of the Metro games, but heard a lot about them on podcasts.

Yep. Having to go online to check wtf is going on, after spending hours unable to proceed, and finding out those hours were completely wasted because of a bug, is not what I'd call an efficient use of my time.

Really?!?!?

My experience was completely different to yours then. I did not have any of those problems (make sure you have all weapon types carrying with you for instance). Use the shotgun, or shotgun type weapons...they are super effective for close enemies. Also, the knife thing.

I must admit, that I did not find the AI any worse than in other shooters I played.

I mean, there isn't any game around with decent AI. I always find breaking things (AI don't recognise you is the most common immersion break).

Metro Last Light for is a great game and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Furthermore, the graphics on PC were really outstanding.

I remember perfectly well that in one of the stages, there was a bug that completely blocked you from continuing. And - I later found out - it was caused by the simple fact that I was advancing before the ally NPC. So the 'trick' was to let him run ahead first - limiting my scope of movement of course as in the meantime loads of enemies were trying to kill me.
If for some reason I stepped in front of the NPC, boom the next passage was totally blocked.
Absolutely unacceptable.

A bug like that hit me too. Basically you can screw up the game's scripted events and well, then you're blocked from continuing. It happened to me at a different spot than you. Was quite weird. Quality control tends not to be the best on these Eastern European games and it even infects dev's like Crytek to a lesser extent. Too be fair they probably had little budget.

Yeah. what a bugger. Otherwise spending hours and hours on a game would have been a very efficient use of your time! :yep2: ;)

I am also very interested. Haven't played old versions because my PC hardware was not great.

Will get it on launch.

Possibly I'm the only person here looking forward to playing the game

I played 2033 partway through, but it actually made me motion sick @ 60fps, and I just didn't really enjoy the gameplay tbh. :p Rather curious to see how the effects compare in stills though.

Interesting. Do other games at 60fps make you motion sick, or is it something specific about Metro?

I do play a fair number of games @ 60 on PC, so it's definitely not all 60fps games. It might be related to the FOV, not unlike Half-Life 2.

I look forward to seeing it on PS4. I only played 2033 on PS3 for about 30-40 minutes when it landed on PS+ and while I can't remember much, I don't recall it looking/feeling different to most other console FPS games.

Ive beaten both 2033 and Last light on the Xbox 360 multiple times. I enjoy them both despite the bugs and I will be picking up Redux for the XB One. There is just something different about the Metro series that I enjoy. Im looking forward to seeing how they play at 60 fps and Im also curious to see the graphical improvements over last gen console version.
