Mass Effect 3

To be honest I only read about Miranda appearing in the trailer ;)

Bioware got a lot of flak from the fans for spoiling a lot of ME2 in the launch trailer, so they probably were a lot more cautious this time, but there's still a lot of important story elements in this one, even at a first glance.

And I personally think that ME armor is more closer to Iron Man, at least the heavier ones are...

It's most definitely not open world if that's what you mean. But they have some pretty large levels based on the demo, although most of the area is non-reachable. Still, there's enough room for multiple 2km high Reapers...

Not a problem at all. I just want to know what to expect. ^_^

ME2 loads each planet separately. It skips all the boring traveling so I much prefer it that way. But I hope this time we don't have to load different level of the ship separately. They are not that big anyway, and are mostly corridor-based. Should be streamable within the ship.

ps3 retails version, possible spoiler

Jeez at the fps drop on the ps3...Forgive my ot but I can't wait to see the ps4 coming out because it's really sad to see ps3 struggle so much even at the end of that generation in a multi, compared to the 360 version cutscenes (& gameplay too sometimes) :???:...

Whoa, nice. That's totally unexpected. I thought Bioware was just going to give the Femshep fans one trailer and that's it. They definitely went above that.

Sweeeeeeet ! I don't mind a Vita version as well. For such a long game, organized by discrete worlds, it would be a godsend for busy folks.^_^

When they make these super long trailers, where are people supposed to watch them in full outside of the internet? Cinemas?

How long ? People complained about long cutscenes for PS3 cinematic games all the time (MGS4, Uncharted 3 come to mind).

Well, the trailers are 2-3min long. They can cut them down for 30 second TV commercials, but then it's kind of a waste if people don't see the whole thing.

First time I've noticed the trailer says "take earth back" rather than "take back earth". Slightly odds phrasing. Lots of sites mistakenly calling it the "take back earth" trailer as well.

I certainly don't watch them. I want to avoid spoilers.

For people who are into trailers, may be they will like it.... sort of like those 30 minute informercials on TV. :runaway:
(They are proven to be effective under certain situations)

Well, presumably this is advertising to the mass market, not just the people who are already interested in the game and already would keep up with the media material. :)

I mean, I think the marketing of the game would make a big impression if they showed the full length trailer in theaters (not that I know how many folks actually go to the cinema these days without a major movie release).

If it's an experiment, they can track the responses better over the net. Gamer profiles are rather diverse today. So perhaps if the trailer is intriguing enough, the response may be better than average for such high production titles.

Showing in theaters would probably be more captivating but it's harder for them to know/understand the impact without surveys and such. That said, they probably already have a version in the theaters right ?
