Last of Us [PS4]

Yes, this may not actually be a huge coding effort. Naughty Dog said last year they are using their PS3 engine on PS4 and it's likely the team working on Uncharted 4 have undertaken most of the low-level hardware abstraction gibbons. Probably more work for the art guys - revisiting the original high res art etc

If it's simply gonna be your typical bare-bones, albeit competent Bluepoint-style upres job, Sony can keep it. If it gets the Tomb Raider treatment I'm all ears, though.

Well Uncharted 3 was free on PS+ for a while so i'm sure TLoU will end up there on PS4 at some point in the future.

IF it has a $10 upgrade scheme, then I am in. Otherwise no, I have milked it enough, though at 60fps, it could be sublime experience again as the gameplay is so rock solid. But can't pay full price again, no way.

Is there any news on what kindof graphical uplift will it get? Can we expect improved gfx or just 1080p60fps and clean IQ with the same gfx as the ps3 version?

From memory, only Tomb Raider: DE actually charged full price for the new version. No one in their right mind would re-release a game at full price just with 1080/60. Surely not Sony, all their HD remakes on PS3 were launched at heavily discounted prices.

Heck, i'd pay £10 to replay the Uncharted games with better IQ!

Tomb raider DE wasn't full priced, expensive yes, but not full OMG retail PS4 price

Well.... PS4 version kind of confirmed:

Personally, I would rather have ND spend resources on having a new game every year rather their current 2-year cycle, despite having two parallel teams.

I wonder how much they can crank up the IQ going from PS3 to PS4. Even upscaled to 1080p, LoU was definitely not a bad looking game and even in Left Behind you could notice engine tweaks. Guess it's a trend... polishing up older games for a new console generation.

A lot of these higher up in SCEE don't know much at all about what's happening behind the scene and just make assumption that it will happen. Like I think the France Sony boss said new Monster Hunter was coming out for Vita only months away after Vita launch. Would only take this as a confirmation if this is directly from Shuhei Yoshida. if this does happen though, I hope its done in house by naughty dog as they need to test their engine on PS4 anyway. :) Don't a lot of dev port parts and pieces of previous game when there is a engine or platform upgrade. If not then Hexadrive, the ZOE 2 port fix up is still better than any HD port I have seen.

TLOU just in 1080p + nice AA and AF would definitely be a looker, in face it would look better than many nextgen games out now. I'm most curious to know how are they gonna use the gpgpu for some fancy effects in UC4, the shit coming straight out of the ICE team should be...mind boggling.

I've been wondering. With what i've seen in Infamous, I can't even imagine what an relatively on-rails game like Uncharted 4 will look like.

UC4 would probably be a lot more open now, just look at KZSF's forest level. But yeah, I expect something that's beyond The Order's level.

But I like the cosiness :D A more open-world Uncharted would not be Uncharted. Sure I can take larger, more open levels, but to a certain extent only.
