Horizon Zero Dawn [PS4, PC]

Am I the only one who finds something is off with the colours ? They don't gel well like in UC, Journey or Witcher or Overwatch any game with good visuals. It's impressive tech wise but lacks something on the art side.
If the gameplay comes out solid then nothing else would matter, though. Just that something feels off right now in most of the footage shown. Some of the shots look tight, though, so it's definitely on the art side.

At 0:30, the building is lit directly facing the camera when the sun is behind.

Also, the torchlight has a bizarre lighting applied to the wall/foliage as she moves.

:p

Orange and blue.
Much haze.

Judging by the thirst for this game (i have some "PC only" friends that are planning on buying the Neo just for this and Uncharted 4), if this turns out to be as good as it looks it could very well be the next big hit (ala Uncharted) for Sony.

I hate delays. Someone should teach game devs some project management. Meh.
Well, I suppose they needed more time for polish considering it's a much larger, non-linear game... And their first time doing such a thing.

Holidays are always crowded anyway. :p On the other hand, I suppose this means it'll be closer to Mass Effect Andromeda...

looks incredible, not sure about gameplay (not much was shown), but would definitely youtube the whole game through to see what's happening with that story.

Wow looks jaw dropping! Easily the best looking open world game I've seen. I wonder if the delay is related to Neo tho, is it not unreasonable to take three or four month to work on a visual patch if they want Neo ready on day one?

This reminds me of Until Dawn (same engine :D)

Clouds are some of the best I've seen in real time graphics

Foliage shader reminds me of Uncharted 4 + Witcher 3, draw distance seems really good as well (although there's some noticeable pop-in in some scenes)

Motion-blur + AA look excellent

Volumetrics (lights/shadows) return from Shadowfall (expected) this scene also reminded me of Crysis 1 opening shot :)

Pop in and shadow pop in at least it is realtime and on PS4. I think I saw some temporaryl artefact or maybe it is video artefact.
