I don't know if these characters are convincing, and the way the dialogs flow is a bit unnerving with all the pauses, but at the same time this game is so different and I really appreciate it for it. I think I'll definitely get this game. Even in the case that I may not like it (which is entirely possible, as it's still a subject matter that doesn't greatly interest me), it's a format that I do find very attractive, and it's definitely something I'll want to make up my own mind about.
And I could definitely see this working in an episodic format, kind of like the Sam & Max games. You could do C.S.I. type games in this, or House, Dexter, etc.
EDIT: posted this on Eurogamer, hoping it might reach Mr Cage.

I want a game version of House with this engine ... would be great to experiment with different treatments and see how a patient dies in different ways (or lives!), do break in scenes at patient's homes, mess around in the private lives of the cast members or play practical jokes, etc. Should be hilarious. With Playstation Wand support just to be able to waggle House's cane around.
If you can't get the official licence, I wouldn't even mind some kind of blatent rip-off, starring a main character who pretends he's blind (and nobody knows!) and solves crimes against the environment or finds out what particular brand of autism/adhd/asperger a certain kid in pre-school does or doesn't have.
In the meantime though, I'm buying this game even just to show my support for something that's different, though with crime and killers featuring so heavily in it it's still not nearly as different as I'd like it.
But heck, I think a lot of TV shows could work with this kind of engine. I can totally see it do an Angel/Buffy type thing, or all sorts of other stuff.
Cage, now that you have the engine, maybe give it to others and let various creative people do a pilot episode for something new (or even to pitch an existing show - The Wire the Game? Deadwood the Game? - to its copyright holder) and put these pilots up on PSN to test them out?
Go go go! It takes far too long to develop a game, and there are so many different tastes out there. If you really want to expand the audience and make this a success then consider that as with each new series on TV or each new comic book author, each new content creator will make the engine better, expand the creative toolset, and bring in a wider audience. So please don't keep this engine to yourself but promote it to others and maybe invite people from TV to direct/guest direct something using it. Your game's setup is perfect for it, go go go!
