Gamecube help

I decided to buy a Gamecube for my 13 year old daughter and myself
I need help/comments about good games, accessories and good place to buy online in US.

The list so far:

Well, I can give you a few game suggestions..

Pikmin, for you and her. Resident Evil 1 and 0, mostly for you. Eternal Darkness, also for you. Mario Golf is excellent for all ages, Mario Party 4 should be fun for the both of you. There's also Smash Bros, and F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur 2 are coming very soon. I like a bunch of other GCN games, but it's getting late. Ouch, almost forgot Animal Crossing.. heh..

Also note the pile of multi-platform 3rd-party games that may be better on GCN than they are on PS2..

I would get Eternal Darkness instead of Starfox Adventures (SFA was a big disappointment to me) but not for your daughter Pikmin is great too and Super Smash Brothers is great multiplayer-fun (and singleplayer too I might add). Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, The Wind Waker, Eternal Darkness and Smash Bros. are clearly the best games on the GCN imho so you shouldn't miss out on either of them.

There's a slew of other potentially great titles coming out this year: F-Zero is absolutely stunning though very hard and Soul Calibur II is excellent (and I don't like beat'em ups normally). Viewtiful Joe, Billy Hatcher, Pikmin 2 and Rebel Strike all look promising and then there's (of course) Mario Kart.

DvdBoxOffice has free shipping but they can be a bit slow and you never know if the product is in stock. They sell lots of Nintendo stuff so I don't think it will be a problem though.

Excellent advice so far, I would like to suggest to get 4 pads in total. Many GC games support multi-player modes, the fun is almost endless ... ENJOYJOY

Rogue leader.

If you're planning to get Rebel Strike, don't get Rogue Leader... word has it you get it for free on a bonus disc

Rogue Leader is included on the Rebel Strike disc but it will only be available as multiplayer.

For single player you will need the original game.

A good selection. Mario Kart won't be out until november so I would replace it with Eternal Darkness

I would recomend you the following games:

-Pikmin (best gamecube game so far IMHO).
-Super Monkey Ball.
-Metroid Prime
-Resident Evil

I only have 14 games but these are so far the ones I enjoyed most.

My package came in this morning, and F-Zero GX officially has to be added to the list. I wanted to wait and play it before suggesting that because I was unsure. This one came a shock to me, it turned out wonderful.

I would say most games I've seen listed look great, but I'd think twice about the memory card. Most 3rd party cards tend to corrupt, does anybody here have any experience with that particular card? An official Nintendo 256 memory card is reliable and holds quite a bit. Most games don't take up that much space, and 2 of those would last the life of the Gamecube, even if you bought many more games.

Speaking of upcoming titles. Check out this new Nintendo ad that manages to include:

Tales of Symphonia, Metal Gear Solid: TTS, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, PSO III, Baten Kaitos.

Yet another reason why Nintendo of Japan needs to handle the advertisement in the NA and European regions. NOA and NOE couldn't sell ice water in the desert.
