Fuse (New game by Insomniac)

Heh heh, too many games to try out all of a sudden. Will give this and DUST514 a quick run one of these nights.

Very briefly fired it up, and it played like Uncharted on the whole. Uncharted movement, Uncharted controls, Uncharted shooting. However, the enemy weren't dumb or easy. The firefight felt dangerous making cover necessary, and enemies would outflank and cover each other. There might be some decent play value to a four-player Uncharted-esque game. Although the art is rough. Swapping between the two female characters, it looks almost like they're the same model with a change of textures. The faces align perfectly.

I enjoyed the demo. The mechanics felt quite solid in my quick playthrough as one would expect from Insomniac. Graphics didn't strike me as particularly impressive, but I wasn't disappointed either. However, this, along with numerous other decent to very strong titles won't be purchased by me with the PSRango coming out this year (wasn't expecting that at all). At this point it takes a very compelling story that immediately intrigues me along with no expected/announced cross-gen release for me to get excited enough to bite on a new current gen title.

Played the demo solo and offline. (I'm not signing up to that Origin BS.) The gameplay is ok, but the controls are a bit awkward. I'm really not seeing any good reason for their changes to their art direction. It still looks like so many other games. The cutscenes are also some of the worst I've seen in a while. And will probably only get in the way of the co-op gameplay. It's certainly not something I'd want to see over and over again.

If you have to sign up to Origin for online?! I thought Live and PSN were supposed to solve that nonsense. I was going to suggest giving this a try with friends, but I won't bother now.

The demo wanted to make an Origin account from within the game. I didn't really look any further. I'm not signing up to unnecessary services like this.

Since I already have an Origin account thanx to Crysis 3, I was in automatically. Touhg, I don't understand why I need an origin account when I have a PSN account.

Anyways, game is fun, but the third person turning controls are not. A bit weird when u turn, you seem to have a turning radius, can't just suddenly walk backwards or sideways. Also, looks like they don't have 'hard' difficulty in the demo ! WTF Insomniac ,what fun is a co-op game if we can't pump up the difficulty ?

Fine game , had moments of fun but were marred by the turning controls a bit. I liked playing as the medic, I can see myself playing as that for longer times. The warp gun girl is also fine, but mostly people don't do thier medic roles well, so I always turn in to be the team's saviour.

Doesn't feel like a must buy, more like 'Wait till it goes free on Plus'. Maybe they just chose a bad demo, it isn't bad, but it isn't fab either, the demo, that is.

Payed the demo around 5 times now, once the powers start chaining, the game did change for the better ! I think we got lotta power here but not enough challenge in the demo. Looks like some initial part of the game.

Also, once u take down those two bosses, you can pick up their guns ! I took down the fire g and then used his flamethrower to kill the other one :D ! And yes, since others are also playing the demo multiple times, I can already see people collaborating. There were numerous times in my last two playthroughs when we stuck together behind Dalton's shield and me and the warp gun person chain killed all the enemies.

Good game, but needed a better demo level. Something later in the game , maybe, where we can actually use all of our powers to take down something massive. That would showcase the game much better. The two mini bosses are already showing that co operation works.

Perhaps games like this will benefit from a Gaikai demo (using the final game with experienced co-op players).

... or perhaps Free to Play.

Frankly Patsu, if it had been $15 to $25 game, I would have bought it right now. The game is fun, but the demo doesn't showcase any bigger promises. At $60 , one needs to have a demo that leaves u salivating !

Played a round. Is good, made fun and felt quite solid. Surprisingly I thought that the graphics where quite good technically, although art is a bit boring for me. I did not had a problem with the IQ, and this after playing PC for so long.

Overall, game is bought!
