Full image of the xbox 360!

They should know by now that the most important buttons would be Ctrl Alt Del instead of the Windows button. ;)

I know I said it was for WebTV before, but after thinking about it maybe it's to pull up the 'media extender' HTPC menu.

wow, I like it! It all looks alot more finished than the earlier leaked pictures. You can tell by comparing it to the mannequin head that it's not really all white but kind of a pale grey. I could see that with my other A/V equipment; it wouldn't exactly blend in but it wouldn't feel out of place either.

I still prefer the look of the Dual Shock 2 to that controller, but it's atleast an improvement on the old design.

The remote is.......I already have enough remotes!!! no mas

One big knock on GC styling from my perspective was that it looked very out of place on my home theater rack. Well, this will be even worse.

not to sound like i'm bashing your opinion, but how exactly is this worse in terms of fitting in with surrounding av equipment than a purple plastic square box?

just curious.... :D

GC is available in a few different colours including black and silver, not just purple..

but using that argument, the xbox 360 is supposed to be customisable with removable facias...

personally, this will fit in with my home av equipment far more than my old gc did - but as with all these things it boils down to personal taste which is of course totally subjective... who's to say that the other is wrong ;)

He didn't say anything specifically about colour though. Just correcting you that there is more then one colour of GC.

I like the design. Looks very 'chic' like the ps2 (darth vaders toaster) did back in '99. I don't like the color. The bright white is too much. I'm sure the color with be changed or changeable. I wish they'd ditch the camera. Its as gimmicky as robby the robot. I have no wish to see the fat slobs on xbox live. :D

I just have hard time imagining this blending nicely with the rest of my A/V stuff. A black cube turned sideways, while not exactly great, was tolerable.

Controller in the first pic doesn't look nearly so shiny as the MyColony shots, which is good, but rubber-coated nubbins would be even better.

There's a windows start button on the remote :?
If you've used WindowsXP Media Centre Edition then you'll recognise that as "The Green Button", and is what starts the media centre functionality and accesses the main media centre menu.

yeah i know, no problem! :D

i am already aware that silver and black gamcubes are avilable (as well as a smarter brushed alu panasonic one which only saw limited release in japan) but i just referred to the generic purple one out of habit ;)

Seems fine to me. I like the white look because it reminds me of my favorite game console I ever owned, a Japanese PC Engine.

Sadly it looks like the controller thumb sticks are a hard plastic. I'd rather have a good rubber coating on the sticks. Probably will have to get a good 3rd party controller, hopefully there will be some good ones to choose from at launch.

Now that we have an idea or rather actually know how large the thing is...how is it going to properly be cooled? Its got a Tri-Core CPU, each clocked at 3Ghz, along with a GPU running at, what was it estimated, 500mhz? Maybe these systems really wont run hot like we feared.

Good god, where are all these pictures coming from?

Unfortunately that oen doesn't do too much to give us scale - I've seen some huge subwoofers and I've seen some tiny ones.

MAN but I hate setups like the one that person has though. I would never set up my AV equip like that.
