Formula 1 - 2013 Season

Fernando should be very careful with his backside because Kimi will be waiting from the back for a dirty surprise  , as he already did in Japan...

Fernando needs to pass Kimi first

You're still blaming Kimi for not going completely out from track because Alonso decided to push against him? in fact, Kimi did go partly off track due Alonso hitting him.
There's no-one else to blame for Suzuka last year than Alonso himself.

It's an interesting front few positions for sure. Kimi I guess will be trying to keep out of trouble and hoping he gets an extra fast lap on the softs, after that he might have Hamilton in his mirrors for a while.

I do think that starting on the mediums is an advantage though. Not sure the pace is in the McLaren yet but Vettel isn't that far off. He doesn't have the car for the track though and is unlikely to challenge the podium without a bit of luck, which of course he generally gets in spades. Maybe Grosjean can take out all 5 cars in front at the first corner? :p

Really interesting race coming up I think, unlike last year when Rosberg just drove away from the field. Even Massa can't be discounted - he has been up on Alonso all weekend until it mattered and even then he was fastest of all in sector 2, he must really have blow it somewhere in 1 or 3.

I think the Lotus and Ferrari can go a bit longer than the Merc on softs at least, but the Merc is strong on the mediums. Really I think this is wide open, any one of seven drivers can win this tomorrow. Personally I think it'll be Kimi and Alonso first and second but still not sure on the order. It really is that close - so refreshing to see the Red Bulls nowhere near the front :p

Why not? Vettel is so negligible and insignificant as a personality, and is a factor only when he is in the fastest car which for tomorrow is quite clear that is not the case.

Plus, I don't understand why this hate or dislike for Ham. He is much greater person than both Kimi and Vettel who are from the same badboys company which, of course, sucks.

Ham wasn't that great when his former best friend Sutil needed him.

I am convinced that most of the F1 drivers are egoistic assholes. No person you want to hang out with...

Yup, perhaps that is part of the personality characteristics which gives them the opportunity to be great winners. But Vettel is a clinical case and brutal, to his team mate the most.

The problem I see with it is, he really can expect less than no favours from Webber from now on. I can see Webber being highly motivated vs Vettel and wouldn't be surprised if they take each other off at some point this year. There will be plenty of opportunities.

It's a real shame what happened to Webber in qualifying because he looked to be a good bit faster than Vettel in practice. Will be interesting to see if they start him in the pits and take a setup change, maybe his race isn't completely over yet.

I know I'm not the one who should say this on this forum, but most people who know Räikkönen say that he's completely different person around his friends, not silent nor anything like that but party going (no shit :D ) and friendly

He also definitely keeps business and leisure separate from each other, which is why he may seem like a total a-hole towards reporters and such who want good interviews

It's a team and individual sport and being a dick can help in some ways while hindering in others. There's not much doubt in my mind that Hamilton is a bit too nice for his own good though, otherwise he'd have been at least double or 3 times champion by now.

Love the image...

Didn't realise that Button did a Vettel on Hamilton back in Turkey. Always thought Button was a gentleman.

I see Fernando leap frogging Kimi, Roberg and Hamilton into the first corner - that guy knows how to get a good start!

Shocker of a start by Kimi. Can't see Hamilton keeping Alonso behind him. Di Resta looking racy! Ooh Massa on Alonso looks likely...

Both Ferraris pass Hamilton on same straight, this is bad as Massa can now start to slow rest of the pack down

Those mercs really ate the tires fast, hopefully Kimi can outlast Ferraris and pass Massa

edit:
Alonso & Kimi both pit
