Dying Light

Very much liking the look of the asymmetric multiplayer. The more I see that side of the game the more it reminds me of Left4Dead.

Hopefully this trend continues and extends into genres other than shooting.

So I tried this at eurogamer, looked fun watching others play it, but didn't like it - I think it was part down to sitting so close to the screen and part down to using a XBO controller. Anyway, been watching streams on the PS4 and this is back on my radar - looks really good with some great fluid gameplay and open world elements which now have me more interested.

So, how do people already have this game when it's not out for another month!?

I've seen a few people quoting Techland (the developer) stating there is no review embargo however IGN only got their review copy yesterday and the review will not appear before launch. If other sites are getting late review copies too then you may not see many reviews for launch.

Techland has created situation in which game is out but there are no reviews because nobody got early review copies.

Bad move.

The game's good
It's Dead Island with parkour, higher budget, more polish, more mechanics in a better suited setting. If anyone gets this game on PS4 then let me know here and we can co-op cause my Destiny group sure as hell ain't getting this game except for one guy.

Also the main track is amazing ! Over all the music is nice, Techland has done good.

Games looks really nice on PS4, beautiful lighting and good draw distance too. If it's any fun then I might get the physical copy in a month.

Just to let everyone know, you can do everything that you can in Mirror's Edge and even more in this game, and it's open world.

I think this game has probably the most robust traversal system of any first person game, very evident when you are climbing a radio tower in this one mission where you can practically grab any edge, even slanty ones, rather than just the colour coded ones or specific "climbable" looking edges (they still exist here but you can choose to ignore them for the most part) that we are so used to by now. The vertigo effects are great too.

This is a game I like to watch more than play (at the moment) - I didn't like mirrors edge and I'm struggling a bit with this (only played the tutorial part), I think I'll leave this until I'm done with Far Cry 4 and give it another shot - I really want to like this game!!

I didn't get into it much, the opening wasn't exactly impressive performance (from what I could tell) and I'm sure there was screen tearing at the very start when you are in a bedroom...but after that it seemed ok...but like I said, I only played the tutorial so not much going on. TBH from what I had seen streamed I expected it to be locked or something but I'm sure it's not.

Yea it is stable, it can tear sometimes (very rare though) under load but this game is pretty heavy performance wise even on PC. Judging by that and how good the game looks and that it's quite dense with large draw distance I'd say it runs good.
