Although, there is Rise of the Robin. Both games do a far better job than that of natural environments and swaying grass etc.

To broaden it out, what games with seasons and very dense interactive foliage are doing a better job?

What do seasons have to do with perceived geometric detail? Forbidden West and RDR 2 hold up just fine next to this.

Fair enough, was getting a little distracted be the over makeup of the game's tech.

On geometry across the world, RDR is nowhere near on foliage. I've not played Forbidden West. From what I've seen it's always look like the world was quite constrained and small?

Forbidden west map is actually quite big. the DLC map is smaller though

There are no seasons but different biomes with different weather conditions.

I bought shadows yesterday but it took hours to install so i could barely try it, did not even go through the whole opening sequence. can't wait to properly play it later today.

I still prefer Odyssey to this but I am having a blast playing it in balanced mode on the Pro. It's an absolute stonker of a good looking game but it still suffers from the usual AC issues; like very dumb enemy AI. Kill someone, get spotted, climb to roof of building. In plain view. Wait while enemies wander around saying stuff about knowing you're there until they get bored. Drop off edge of building and repeat until all enemies are dead. For some reason they removed the ability of enemies to be able to climb after you.

Haven't got as far as Yasuke yet, still rocking the shinobi vibe.

Yasuke blowing up temples doors like they are cardboard, reminds me of the Cole Train in Gears of War.

How are guys you liking the game so far?

The environments look amazing and I really like the setting.

I really enjoyed the stealth in Origins. From what I´ve heard the stealth is very good and refined in this game. I prefer to be able to mark the enemies with my bird though.

The combat from what I´ve seen looks average at best. I´ve seen clips of boss fights where Yasuke shoots a samurai in the face many times in a row and the dudes health is slooowly chiping away. This is one of the issues I had with Odysseys combat, enemies having to much health so it doesnt feel like your hits have any impact. Ubisoft couldnt make a good combat system if the world depended on it =/

It looks great with PSSR. However HDR now has posterization in bright highlights. Disabling PSSR fixes the artefacting. So close to perfection
