DriveClub by Evolution Studios [PS4]

Man the lighting in this game, as if Lord Lucifer himself coded that for Evolution :).

Switching the steering from analog sticks to motion sensors really improved the game for me. It's almost like playing with a steering wheel now, my lap times and positions in racing improved immediately and playing is much more fun!
I was a bit "meh" about DriveClub when I first played it, the driving just wasn't much fun, a bit like when I play a GT game with analog sticks... not fun. But the game has really grown on me after switching to motion sensor steering.
Motorstorm also had one of the best implementations of sixaxis, nice to see Evolution supporting this tech that mostly has been forgotten. When done right it really is a good control method especially in driving games.

Good to hear! I've been trying to plug the motion controls here and there, and slowly people are starting to pick up on it. It really is a much more natural extension of using a wheel and it's practically flawlessly implemented in DriveClub I feel.

I don't like the 'floaty' feel with no resistence...maybe I just need to stick with it

Do stick with it. See it as a more precise controller that allows you to use wheel muscle memory. It's not better than a real wheel but certainly closer than analog sticks.

So what is going on with the servers. I am in maim menu...still not connected. I can push the triangle button, which just brings up an error message that I should check my internet connection. Are others connected? Or is something wrong wigh my settings?

Edit: checked my settings...they are ok.

You can just leave the game at main screen and it may connect at some time. Or try restarting the game. There is nothing you can do to force connect or something.

Check in the moring/when Europe is asleep, and you've got a shot. I managed to connect to my PS4 with my Vita from work this morning and actually got to see leaderboards for the first time since launch. And when I came home I couldn't, but the Club was still available and in the game profile I could still see my overall standing and all of my friends (and see that phil has been at it ... ;) ).

And that list suggests that the game should be selling quite well. My friends list ranged from pos 1820 to 220k, and a lot of friends have the game. I have a lot of racing fans in my group, but I wouldn't be surprised if it sold to 1:8 PS4 owner in Europe at least.
