Artefacts on Xbox 360 Kiosk Machines

Walmart doesn't have kiosks though. The system sits in the display case.

Those artifacts look just like the effect I get when I try to overclock my GPU.
Yep. Overheating. The people who work at Walmart aren't the brightest bulbs in the chandelier. They just stick the console behind a glass case with no ventilation or cooling. Put your PS2, GCN, and Xbox in a glass box with no ventilation and see how long it stays running.

we had tehse from the day we hooked up the system. Its just a problem in game code. Just like king kong falling through the world with the t rex and still fighting it . Or when kong turns blue . Thoguh ours doesn't get anywhere near this bad .
How many errors can MS make in trying to sell their system? From the naff looking alpha games at E3 to arm-twisting tactics for retailers and buggy demos, they haven't seemed concerned with ensuring when people see anything XB360 related it's the best impression they can give.

I know I'd do things very differently.

I agree.

However, it doesn't seem to matter much, pre-orders are still sold out and it continues to become a hotter and hotter product as more people hear about it.

Also, we should give a little credit where it's due. They've held events for thousands of journalists to come have hands-on time with their games, over a month before launch, In Amsterdam, and a couple locations in the states.

Because of that every gaming site I know had totally postiive things to say, excellent hand-on previews, and a buttload of in-game media.

If the majority of gamers get their news from Gamespot or IGN, or gaming publications like GI, then MS is doing extremely well, as all these media outlets were treated to handson time and have had almost nothing but praise lately.
