Somehow I was thinking 25fps, my wife was walking through the door, but thanks for being a **** like always.
Look below my name.

Not sure why such EA hate.
Not sure why such EA hate. Yes, Madden 08 could be visually improved but to the sports gamers, this is Madden. It still looks FUN and is a good past time between games on sunday when you get together with buddies and play. hell, I remember how we used to have 2 TV's together. 1 for madden, 1 for NFL.
The animations looked good, nice moves from the players and the closeups/replays were cool.
it seems strange that ps3 struggles with average looking game like this, yet it does so well on other much better looking and impressive games and not even using 50% of its power. i guess some multi-platform devs are really behind others in getting knowing the system.
perhaps madden 09 would fair alot better if what they say is true as ps3 is rumoured to b the lead platform.Maybe some more time is needed, perhaps in some year(s) same type of titles form EA will run at 60fps on the PS3. Neverthless saying percentage of how one part of a system is utilized is quite worthless. This since what counts is the whole system (CPU, GPU, RAM, subsytems). So if a dev says that 30% of Cell is utilized doesn't automatically translate in to 30% of total system computing power.

Unless Moore is an idiot (which I doubt) he'll want both versions to run virtually the same.
He won't have any loyalty now, he's working for EA and they will want to sell loads on both platforms and if they keep on releasing substandard versions on PS3 they might find PS3 users start looking elsewhere.
cheers, so basically the console players get shafted cause theres no competition.Heh, you don't know much about Madden, do you
EA have an exclusive license deal with the football association of the USA, the NFL. Nobody else can produce football games referring to real-life, contemporary football teams - and fans playing this game want to play with their favorite team.
aint that the truth, it doesnt mention when the license runs outIn 2005, the producers of the Madden games, EA Sports, signed an exclusive licensing deal with the NFL and the NFLPA to give them the exclusive right to use the NFL's teams, stadiums and players in a video game, something which has been widely criticized. This exclusive license has put an end to competition in NFL video games and, some have suggested, this gives EA less incentive to maintain quality and a greater opportunity to increase prices.

The deal, one EA admits to having lobbied for over the past few years, is an exclusive five-year licensing deal granting EA the sole rights to the NFL's teams, stadiums, and players.
I might have missed it but can anyone tell me at which resolution is each version is natively running from?
I tried to skim through the whole thread but I couldn't really see...

9.0 Graphics
The new animation system is outstanding and one of the best improvements to Madden in several years. The crowds and sidelines aren't up to par.
6.5 Graphics
The details are good, but Madden is ugly in motion. It's optimistic to call this a game that runs at 30fps. The animations don't look that great because of the lower framerate.
