Uncharted NDC debuted in #2 in the UK

ChartTrack.jpg

Fifa doing great as usual.

Er... Call of Duty: Ghosts (XBO) charting? What? COD: AW I could understand if it charted, but it didn't. Ghosts, charting? Again, what?

The UK is weird.

And Minecraft. All versions still charting. This is going to be like The Sims in the 2000's where it stayed on the chart for like 2 billion years in a row (slight exaggeration).

Yeah my PS4 also doesn't understand the word Power. I tried all sorts of voices. Robot voice, Italian voice, Posh british voice, Stupid voice (that's just my normal voice). Nothing.

I'm guessing he meant September NPD numbers.

edit: although it seems the release of the September report is delayed till monday for some reason.

Yeah i was referring to NPD numbers. MS really needs to be close this September to try to close the gap by the end of the year with Halo and RoTR, last they got ran over by Destiny PS4 bundle.

Battlefront will be massive as well, it's already topping charts on Amazon. Combined with the price drop and the movie coming out the month after, it could very well be the best selling game this holiday season.

XBO isn't going to get a kick until Halo leads off the Holiday season. They should lose Sept. just like they did last year. Oct. will be close with the Halo 5 launch.. Nov. and Dec. are the big ones that determine whether they'll still be competitive with Sony in the US market.

With the PS4 price cut, Microsoft will have to respond in kind with an official price cut, IMO. But I'm not expecting that until possibly Black Friday, although IMO, they should do it sooner. But I'm not sure they can. They've kind of put themselves into a bit of a corner by announcing all those bundles along with their prices, however. A price cut so soon after that might make consumers look at them unkindly. They'd be thinking, "I just bought it for your announced price and a month later you're already cutting the price?"

It was a brilliant strategic move by Sony to cut the price of the PS4 after Microsoft announced their holiday bundle lineup (along with price). Microsoft then either cuts the price and looks bad. Or don't cut the price and give Sony an advantage.

October features the PS4 price cut debut though. a pretty big deal. I'd argue bigger than any software title.

BTW Microsoft has cut before after people said they couldn't because they'd already announced holiday pricing. It's no big deal.

I think everyone is underestimating Halo. It's going to be massive.

I'm not convinced that a Sony price cut will be enough for them to win year's end.

Halo standalone software sales seem very positive over at Amazon... however the bundle position/movement has been average at best. Hell, the PS4 Uncharted bundle is charting higher as of now. I believe Sony will capture September's and October's NPD... and MS takes November and December's NPD with an official price cut ($299 with bundled game / $249 without) around Black Friday.

As of Now...
#10 PS4 The Last of US Bundle
#22 PS4 Uncharted Collection Bundle
#24 XB1 Halo 5 Bundle
#35 PS4 Star Wars Battlefront Bundle
#48 PS4 COD: Black Ops Bundle
#58 PS4 Destiny: The Taken King Bundle
#82 XB1 Forza 6 Bundle
#83 XB1 Madden NFL 16 Bundle

I'm just shocked that a standalone release of a stupid minigame from Animal Crossing can chart that high ... :p
