We're counting bundles but if there are no hard numbers then I guess we'll need to discount them. Amazon rankings are no help when we're bean counting individual copies for sales numbers.

Unless someone has a better idea?

I vote for rolling a D100 multiple that by 1000 then divide the result with a roll of a D12 then multiply that by the result of a D20 roll. That should be pretty accurate. :p Do that for each bundle. BTW - must use physical dice or the results would be inaccurate and thus invalid.

Just so I'm clear, because I've been busy the past month or so starting a new job and wasn't paying full attention...

MS just had a week or so of "wonderful announcements" where they released a bunch of different great bundles. Systems plus games at $399, plus a Kinect bundle that included games from 1998 at $499.

And now Sony just announced that the PS4 is $349 plus a game?

Am I correct on that, or did I miss something and mix up my pricing somewhere? I don't really think the difference between $399 and $349 is significant enough to sway a console purchase one way or another, but on the other hand, if anybody doesn't know and doesn't care and doesn't "take sides", you'd just hear noise on the edges that the PS4 is amorphously "better" and it's also cheaper, plus it also includes a game. So there's no need on either of these consoles to factor in the cost of buying a game with the console if you're gifting it.

Not good. Not good at all for MS. Seems like I was saying a year ago that instead of severing Kinect, MS should have just lowered the cost of the complete system to $399. Ugh, I just found some spare change between the cushions in my couch and was thinking about replacing my PS3 with another Xbox, but I want Kinect for that one too because it will mainly be used to watch Netflix and Kinect rules for hands-free Netflix watching. So... It's Holiday 2015 and a Kinectbox is still $499????

Geez, that's incredibly hard to justify.

That's 30 Games from 1983 through 2008, Rare Replay Bundle - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rare_Replay

Ha! You're a funny guy, but I was referring to the Kinect bundle that comes with Kinect Sports and Dance Central because uhh.... yeah, those games are recent.

Looking at that list, MS already has a bunch of bundles that are already $349, so there's no need to react to the PS4's price cut. I guess I was just sticker shocked (AGAIN!!.. I'll learn eventually) at the premium they are charging for Kinect.

Seriously, MS.. it's great for saying "Xbox - On" "Xbox - Play" "Xbox - Pause" "Xbox - Turn off.. yes" as far as whatever other capabilities the Kinect has and aren't being used or was supposed to have or whatever, uhhh... no.

I guess I'm just sick and tired of being in bed watching Netflix on my PS3 and having to turn off the PS3 and the TV via the remote and then throw the remote over the old lady and having it land on the floor and hoping that 1) It doesn't break when I toss it off the bed to the floor and 2) It doesn't break when somebody steps on it in the morning because WTF is there a remote control on the floor next to the bed?

You do know with the ps4 you can say to it
"playstation- On" "playstation- Play" "playstation- Pause" "playstation- Turn off.. yes"

Do you need to have a headset on or the PS4-Eye cam for that?

LOL @ rancid wearing headphones and a mic to bed. I'm sure the old lady would love that.
your comment was tounge in cheek but yes she prolly would, the last thing you want when lying in bed sleeping or reading etc is to listen to the SFX of someone blowing things up, then again the talking wouldnt be good either

I haven't many single player only games do anything near the big triple A titles yet I think. My virtual money is on Fallout 4. I strongly doubt that I will get either of them myself btw, not much in there that really interests me, but we'll see.

Although badly integrated with apps like even the dvd/vd player compared to XO, just about all voice functionality works rather well on PS4 too for system commands, with the advantage that you can use any audio input, even my guitar hero microphone works lol, though I mostly use the ps camera.

Tbh, i tend to have trouble getting it to register my psuedo-southern/manchunian accent. "Playstation - Power" in particular tends to result in frustration for me. No matter how much I try to pronounce "power" in perfect Queen's english. Maybe it's my deep bassy voice (#toodeepforPS4).

Star Wars Battlefront, published by Electronic Arts under a license from Disney, will arrive in stores on Nov. 17. (An Internet-based test version was made available to fans on Thursday.) Battlefront, as the game is known, cost an estimated $180 million to make and market, and hopes are that it will sell roughly 12 million copies worldwide, which translates to about $720 million in retail sales or $550 million wholesale, according to Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Securities

My imagination produced a scenario of Jet Li doing a Barry White impression.
