As you all have heard by now, an early, incomplete build of Crysis 2 has been leaked online. While we are deeply disappointed by these events, we are all completely overwhelmed by the support we have received from you, our community.

Despite this unfortunate incident, we can assure you that PC gaming is very important to us and will always be important to Crytek in the future. We are all still focused on delivering a great gaming experience to our true and honest fans. I hope you will enjoy Crysis 2 on PC, as we think it is our best PC game yet!

We appreciate all of your continued support, and look forward to playing online with you soon!

Thank you,
Cevat Yerli

Now I will buy 2 copies of the game.

That 360 footage looks absolutely amazing, the lighting is just incredible, very impressive. Funny enough the official 360 footage looks better than the pc video running at the 360 config setting. The only problem with the footage is rather aggressive LOD. Hope they get it sorted out or at least minimized before the release.

Honest question, I only noticed LoD changes/pop in three times, once at 1:08, once while on the bridge, and again near the end of the video with a tree on the left side of the screen (don't remember when). Are there more parts with pop-in?

I'm playing Crysis 1 on the PC now and I notice a decent amount of pop-in there. Is this just nature of Crytek's engines?

Please keep anything from or about the leaked beta version of Crysis 2 for the PC in the PC Thread, even if it's using different configurations that are supposed to be similar to the PS3 or XBox 360. It is a different build and running on a PC.

I am not saying that the LOD/pop-in are all over the place, I just mean that in the limited duration of the gameplay it was noticeable, even if it is just 3 times as you said. It does not bode well for the full game it it is not fixed or reduced.

Still that is among the best graphics I have seen on consoles, definitely the best lighting.

Video looked great. Noticed some pop-in as well, but it was only in 2 or 3 sections. Can't really focus too much at work, but overall it still looks improved over the demo. Don't really notice ghosting and that generally sticks out at me in Reach and Crysis MP demo.

Can't wait for the final game to be analyzed.

The initial area with the plants has a lot of LOD changes with the plants. At 0:30, 0:45, 0:53 are the worst offenders for me.

Considering the overall draw distance, texture/shader variety, amount of physical props,100% realtime lighting/shadowing, popup is understandable.

seriously

that will be the least of my concerns when I'm immersed in a fire fight or traversing the environment and that lighting is filtering through the trees and reflecting off of cars and the water.

Beautiful for a console game. absolutely stunning.

Yeah, the lighting is just out of this world. Fantastic stuff.

Seems to still have a lot of sandbox elements too.

I Like how you get more mileage out of cloak mode than in Crysis 1.

The road rage footage looks nice but it seems the SP IQ is about the same as in MP with annoying pop ins, blurry textures, no AF, very jaggy and sub HD. I guess it's good enough for now, gonna have to see how the other console version pan out before I put down the pre order.

Actually I found the textures to look quite good. Some are obviously lowres but others are higher res and though filtering on ground is trilinear by the looks it might do AF or other trick for distant textures as they look quite detailed and sharp (Gamersyde mp4 video). I would say it is in the near or same ballpark as Uncharted 2 also factoring in player FOV. And if the leaks textures in 360 spec is representative then without doubt better to as a total!

There is also lots of mapping present and of quite high res to.

I disagree... I thought the MP 360 demo had noticably worse IQ than this new video. Maybe it's the different environment and layout, but i thought the TAA worked a whole lot better in this clip. I also didn't much notice the pop-in and such, but then again it's an edited trailor so i guess we'd need to wait and see for the final product.

I'm slightly on the side of optimistic, but then again i'm getting it on PS3 and so i'm probably setting myself up for major (bayonetta level) disappointment.
