Xbox One Slim

IMHO the thing is people would have been holding back ever since E3 when it was announced, you have many people upgrading and many people who held off - this gave a lul before release and some good months...be interesting to see how next month is, 'interestingly' MS always had a really good November/December however last year Sony beat them...so the next few months will be very interesting, and then of course Scorpio on the horizon.
 
VR game that is coming to Xbox One. I wonder with which glasses are we going to play it?

Didn't see this posted - looks like lowest S bundle is $299. But it doesn't look like they have a stand alone version at $250 yet.

That dark shadow controller is a thing of beauty. Although, I'm leaning towards getting the white/black controller to go along with that Special Addition Headset for my PC. :)

Why not buy all three?! Hmm.. Oh, right. Money. That was the reason.

I didn't realize the S doesn't come with a headset?

Why do manufacturers keep messing this up? That needs to be platform standard.

Apparently neither does the PS4 Slim (at least according to Amazon). I'd be willing to bet that user data shows that very few people ever use the included headsets and thus there's very little reason to include one.

Very few? Playing something like Destiny, which millions do, I have a hard time believing that. Voice chat is very common there if not ubiquitous.

I could believe it's something like 30-40%. But very few?

PS4 had earbud's, which I always thought was a really cheap move. Did they remove even those from the Slim?

I've just always believed a mic needs to be the default pack in standard, so that everybody has access to voice chat, so that it's more used, which leads to more community. That cheap little headset has got to cost a dollar or two made in china. Yeah, spare me the next screed about a dollar or 2 over million of consoles, I know. I hope it wasn't a casualty of the UHD drive's high cost. Of course anyone can just buy a headset, but there's so many who will never go to that trouble.

Also noticed MS just introduced a $60+ headset...so this was possibly a money move. Which I dont have a problem with in itself, but I just dont think it's wise in the big picture here.

It's no longer a proprietary jack. Any 3 prong connector will work. I rather have them not ship it then ship it. I think the pack in headsets are just going to the landfill anyway. Might as well save cost and the environment. And that counts for both companies.

I hope eventually we can get to, no pack in controller as well.

The XB1 fat couldn't read BD-R before & the way the tweet was worded it sounded like it was only coming to XB1S.
