Definitely an improvement in my opinion. Looks much more smooth and responsive, with more subtle animations. Not a huge difference, but I like it.
Anybody find any of those worthy? Haven't had a chance to check them all out & digest them. I'm interested in details about how the Live Marketplace is done. Any help for Indie games?
NavNuc, check this one about the new family settings...

What's the first rule about about Fight Club?
Don't talk about Fight Club.
LOL
Yes, I got it. Didn't know it was today. Everything I read said tomorrow. So very surprised it was there waiting for me when I turned on the Xbox to watch last night's episode season premiere of Stargate Universe.
With that said I don't think I'm going to be talking about the beta publicly here. I'm going to respect the terms that Microsoft demand by not talking about it in "discussion forums, emails or podcasts". However, that won't keep me from talking about those other sites above that already posted their previews. I will say that if you're a friend you will might see me online playing with stuff from the beta. And if you're not my friend, send me a invite. My gamertag is AzBat360.
I will say one last thing I was able to answer all my concerns & questions about the update within about 20-30mins. Time to post my thoughts on Microsoft Connect.

Yeah, I really like the current UI. I was at first thinking that this new simplified and basic UI was due to support for Kinect, but it seems that Kinect has it's own UI hub?
So I'm not getting why they felt a huge need to ditch the current UI, other than perhaps to make it look like the Kinect hub. But bleh. Ah well, it's functional. Guess it doesn't "need" to look good.
