WOW crazy new Kameo pics

It does look really pretty doesn't it? The part where she walks across the bridge and she flies through the water is total sex.

Kameo is a definite winner - of the launch titles probably nothing catches my attention like Kameo does.

Agreed. Kameo is well beyond my best expectations. Oddly enough there are now too many games at launch that I want... maybe I'l gamefly a few before I buy...

EDIT (different point): Something else I was thinking of, because apparently no one here seems to have been in the military. Let me point out that in the military, even though we all had individual brains, we still marched in-step, turned in-step, and many other things that would make "us" seem like robots/bad animation. So it is entirely possible for individual AI AND doing the same troop movements. I suggest looking at some of the battle scenes in LOTR when it is displaying real people and watch how when someone is motivating troops, many people do the same movement (e.g. cheering).

I'm still not buying that though. I understand the walking in part, but the fighting shouldn't be allocated to 3 different animation fighting moves though.

Kameo is the only game I plan to buy at launch. I will give Oblivion a rent and go from there. Morrowind was horrid and uninteresting (and tedious to the extreme) with quite possibly the worst "battle system" ever. Oh, it was beyond buggy as well. Of course everyone and their mother is claiming all these problems have magically disappeared, but I don't buy into hype.

I really want to like Oblivion, just as I wanted to like Morrowind... I appreciate what they do with the world and the options they provide, but goodness, if you enjoy playing the "warrior" archetype those games are simply not accessible unless you've recently had a lobotomy.

The fighting system was the #1 reason I didn't like Morrowins, from the gameplay video's I've seen the fighting in Oblivion is VASTLY improved.

First of all, you can block, you can strike using a variety of swings and there are also no more random hits, every hit counts.

It looks much better in action, I saw one battle with a knight and it was block > counter attack, block > counter attack, and then they have sewn the magic right so it's very natural and easy to use, in so you can block > attack > fireball > attack etc, seamlessly.

You can also switch to 3rd person view which I think will make the combat even better.

Judgeing by the video of the battle scene, the 30fps is *very* noticable, even with the so called motion blur (which just looks like the previous frame blended to me)

You don't mean the old horseback video, now do you?

The newer videos I've been watching are smooth like butter...
