Wii impression thread

Just got back from EB, I picked up my copy of Zelda, to bad I don't have a console to play it on. The instruction book is awesome though.

I did get to play Excite Truck though, it felt very natural. I did have a little trouble with the pointer in the Wii menu though, I was at an angle and the t.v. was a little higher than me which I think is the reason.

The remote feels great I don't have very large hands and I was able to press '1' and '2' quite easily.

A smashed Wii simply doesnt have the same effect when there were so many of them ready for launch.

What? I'm having a hard time believing any sensable person would spend less than one day with a product and return it.

what happened to the different colored shells? saw those pictures of them in the warehouse with all those different colors to choose from and it only launched in white.

Well, I don't what you call sensable but it feels to me like someone overstated the fun factor of the remote. I could not get into the baseball game. My kid did not like it at all. So i'll return it. Simple as that.

You bought the unit expecting the free pack in game to sell you on the entire console? I would seriously reconsider the unit and think about picking up one or two other games before you judge the entire system. Makes no sense, I would expect someone who visits B3D to do a bit more research and have a bit more understanding and would know that the free pack in game isnt going to be the best demostration of what the unit has in store.

Why? It's for my kid. If he doesn't want to play games on the wii why should i force him? He loves ps2 and xbox360, and i'm a PS3 next year. He did not like the psp, and we took it back and got the 360. What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with it, different strokes for different folks and all that. :)

Did you try the bowling or tennis? I heard those were the best of the sports pack. (And the Wii comes with a game? KEWL!!!)

Simply makes no sense to me. I can think of no reason why'd you buy a system and then return because you/your kid doesnt like one game. You're also stating games now when you've not shared you're experience or expressed before that you've played anything more than Wii Sports.

Dunchan don't feel like we are attacking you. If you made up your mind it's fine, but we are here to argue and you should spect this from us.

This is the first day the Wii has gone on sale and it seems rather unusual for someone to decide so soon, specially having tried a single game and considering how hard it will be for you to get one if you change your mind.
