Yeah... a 16 year old programmed a fully functional Minecraft inside our game. Our visual scripting language is Turing complete, so basically the sky's the limit if you have endless time... The funny thing is that we don't even have a built-in raycast primitive in our editor. That guy programmed the raycast (needed to find the block under the cursor) himself using our visual scripting language
. That same 16 year old guy also created an endless level that procedurally builds itself when you ride along. And he made a really nice first person shooter (with lots of different weapons, wall running, portals, etc). It's awesome to see how good the new user created levels look. The rusty DLC objects make the physically based lighting system work much better (compared to shiny futuristic objects). And I really wonder how the users are able to push that many background objects and still hit 60 fps (there's an awesome alien themed level in the competition that has endless layers of background stuff). The game is starting to look like a real next gen game
