What does the Install save to the HDD ? I didn't know there is an install option.

The snow race looks fun though. Reminds me of my days in Illinois. Nearly died there in a ^$#&^&%$ 0-visibility rain storm. The truck drivers around me were going at full speed.

I've heard a long time ago already that you should be able to copy all the games tracks to the HDD for faster loading.

EDIT: Coursemaker looks good. Simple, but should still be able to create a nice set of track variations - basically you already have 7 tracks extra through it, and then you can vary those quite extensively ... nice.

Ha ha, no more full game install like GT5P ? I think for GT5, people prefer variations of the real tracks. Nothing beats Modnation Racer for track editing though. That's the right way to go. Now that GT5 has karting, I hope more people take a look at Modnation. It's a gem !

The only thing I want to fault Polyphony is the lack of Home support. Perhaps this should be directed at the Home team, since PD is already overloaded.

Jeebus, I have to see some of these in 3D (How much details do we lose, and how real would it look).

A G27 (25s seem hard to come by) and a wheel stand pro were the very combo I've been debating getting. When it comes in, please share your impressions.

Must have missed this! I'll definitely post up impressions as soon as I get my Wheel Stand! I've been using the G25 on a small dinner tray (with legs) and it's good, but not nearly "stable" enough for hard driving, lol. The pedals are absolutely AMAZING though (which are the same as with the G27). Awesome resistance, I was really surprised.

The wheel itself is great, and you'll probably enjoy it. The shifter is really solid, and since you're getting a G27, you'll have the benefit of a considerably smoother H-Gate. I tried to use the sequential shifter, but I didn't care for it. I've been using the paddle shifters for now.

If this doesn't get you hyped for GT5, I don't know what will.
For me it's still hard to believe I'll actually finally get to play it next week :)
I already bought a new Logitech Driving Force GT wheel to replace my old GT Force, also have a Wheel Stand Pro on order (it's been on order for over a month! Seems the supplies are scarse for this stand because of GT5) hope to get if soon as the wheel really doesn't fit my coffee table that is a bit too thick. Without a wheel a GT for me just isn't GT, I've never liked to play it with pad.

I am really confused over what to do:

- I could get the signature edition & be happy about owning something so limited in quantity, but this means I have to play the game with a controller.

- Or I could get the collector's edition & get a decent wheel like DFGT (donno if the experience is worth it considering it doesn't has any clutch), but this means I have to give up on the classy signature edition. :|

If I were interested in racing game, I'd get the wheel instead of the limited edition -- unless they have signed copies of paraphernalia.

What about the chance to win an SLS?

Or is that just Europe?

For me I simply cannot justify £130 on it, no matter whats in it.

Collectors edition for me.

I simply cannot justify anything but the most crazy outlandish expensive thing there is to buy when it comes to a game that i have waited for since the PS3 was announced... no compromise here :)

And that trailer ... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu that really does hype it :)

India comes under EU & we have our own playstation store as well, hence the signature edition is releasing here (I mention PS store because not having a one meant no local release for special editions that come with DLC vouchers) , but the competition entry is limited to EU countries.

Well, your experience with a wheel will be considerably more rewarding and enjoyable. There is a great sense of depth and immersion when you use a wheel, not to mention you actually get a feel for what's going on. The experience is entirely different, and that is not an exaggeration.

For example, you can feel the tension in the wheel when your car is under load. The higher the load, the higher the tension is. When your car passes the friction threshold, then all tension in the wheel is lost, and you know that you will have to counter steer in order to maintain a safe speed and direction without spiraling out of control. This simply is not a duplicable experience on a controller.

So, having said that, wheel all the way, clutch or no clutch. You'll not regret it in the slightest

I agree. I think GT's should not even have an option for pad control. Without a wheel it's just another great racer, with wheel it's bliss.

Saw photomode images, amazing. You could make great realistic postcards with good angles, setups and configurations with the tool.
