Yes I read this, whoever is running this company is incompetent.
The game should of been out earlier this year or ideally last year.
Adding 3d + move support was a huge mistake.
With each delay its looking increasingly likely that there will be no GT6 for the ps3. It will be 2012/13 before we see the ps4, thus one 'proper' GT game in ~8 years!

I don't think GT5 has MOve support, PS3 Eye support it does have, or does it?
Kind of surprising news, but a few weeks after so many years of waiting... guess I'll manage. It's perversely reassuring they want to fine tune it to perfection, unless the delay is for marketing purposes... but there isn't any that big games being released at November from Sony, MS or Nintendo, so I don't think that's the reason.

Wonder if there's some bigger update coming for PS3 firmware in a month or two, and they need to make sure GT5 and the new firmware will be compatible without major bugs that could hurt the image of both PS3 and GT5.

That would be my guess, As you say, it's Sony's big fall release.

As immature as I may sound, I hope to god GT5 gets bash by reviews and under perform. I have been waiting for this game since I got a PS3 when it came out. It's completely inexcusable and I hope this will hurt Sony A LOT. :devilish:

Why did you get a PS3 at launch if you only wanted it for GT5? I'm sure you could have waited until the game is released to buy the console, for cheaper as well I might add.

It is not the reviewers' job to take off points based on release dates. To do so is to overstep their job description. I would hope those people get relieved from their jobs, because they would deserve it.

He didn't say he got a PS3 only to play GT5. It was evidently the Killer App for archgamer, and he's been disappointed it's taken so long, as what should have been a couple years of GT5 playing hasn't been.

Not that I condone the attitude that the game should be marked down. Heh heh...can you imagine what Duke Nukem would score if reviewers did that?

Thats a very irrational thought considering that you bought a PS3 at launch and that you waited so long for it. That will hurt the consumer. Which includes you

Duke Nukem would score -9652 and counting.

However I'm not that worried about it getting delayed but hopefully it's out before Christmas. Missing a major holiday would hurt sales.

Ok then.. lets just wait another month, at least it wont clash with Cataclysm.. however, it didn´t clash with WOTLK or the Burning crusade either ... hahahaha

Ups, just read the comments at the playstation us blog - generally, it seems that gamers are not that amused.

What I wonder: the game is supposed to ship in 3 weeks. I would have guessed, that there are already Blue Rays in production?!?! Either they have to take all GT5 Blue Rays back, or they were aware of the delay a little bit longer...

EDIT: just realised that this years holiday line up of Sony is rather week...delaying GT5 to unspecific does not help either!

EDIT2: just three days late? http://www.gamereactor.eu/news/5235/Gran+Turismo+5+just+3+days+late?/

No, its only 3 days from Polyphony site, but it implicates many problems with blu-ray production and because of this 'going gold' delay, they were thrown out from disc printing queue. Unfortunately November is the worst month in whole year in term of printing and there's no production window for GT 5 before 15 of November, thats why 3 days of production costs 5 weeks delay ;\

Game will be shipped unfortunately around 5 December.

Here's explanation post from Amar

Well that's unfortunate and an issue that we don't hear much about (but one that is always there). To bad they couldn't/wouldn't find enough capacity to press out LE copies for earlier release, they might have done a bang up job on them. I suppose it'd been more hassle than it's worth though.
