The Crew [PS4, XO]

This showed up for pre-order today on PSN. Particularly lousy incentives though, early unlocks for a few cars plus some in game credits (no discount on the purchase price). "In game credits" makes me nervous about nickel and diming within the game.

Got an email today saying I'm in the next closed beta, PS4 version, it's opening Thursday and lasting until Monday.

Anyone else get in?

Me too....but I won't be playing. Th email says I will get 3 more codes for friends, ala Bungie, so I can [ppass it on here.
I found my love with Driveclub, don't need this anymore.

I got the code when I was at work this morning and now I am on my way home to download. (2+ hours for 14Gb) but second game bonus of today, a colleague bought COD:AW and wasn't keen so has loaned me his copy so I'll be giving that a go when I get home.

I'll download The Crew in the background and give it a go later, tomorrow or the weekend. Depending on how much COD grips me. Wasn't intending to buy but strangely exciting now I have the disc in my mitts :yes:

Such a slow download for me. My net connection, while not great, usually does around 7.5Gb/hour but after almost two hours it's showing:

Took less than 10~15 minutes for me, my download speed is around 16mbytes a second though with a fair wind

Seems an ok game, looks a but like test drive unlimited only five the very first escape race though. Not in anyway realistic but seems fun. Sharing isn't disabled either and I have a video and image saved. Seems to be no as at the moment lots of jaggies when everything is static.
 
Just catching up on some TV from last night then I'll give it a go. It's kicked up a gear in the last 30 minutes and is now on 11Gb so soooooooon :yes:

EDIT: In and kicked out 4 times in 10 minutes because of high server load. I'll leave it to the weekend. Finished the first mission but was unable to get any appreciable feel for the truck but it felt quite floaty. Ok, Advanced Warfare here I come.

Was forced to play some initial missions and now am stuck in a garage waiting on a very slow install progress dialogue. Apparently the original download (huge as it is) is still just a partial version of the full game install? I don't see the point of a partial install if you just end up stuck at a waiting screen anyway (especially one you can't cancel!)
