The MSAA is there. There is however, a ton of shader aliasing which is sadly unaffected by MSAA.

Holy smokes Che has a way of getting you fired up.

This game is SMOKIN! On all fronts. As others have said, they have not been lying when they have said they have been polishing it over the last weeks. 24 cars in the demo?? Are you serious?? Hopefully that comes out like 2-4 weeks before the game, so just as I am done exhausting the demo, I can move right to the real thing.

Has any other released next gen title hit 720p, 60fps?

PES6 i think has 4xMSAA + 720p + 60fps (there is fall in framerate when players get crowded)

    but visuals suck obviously

DoA4 looks like 4xAA to me. Screen is really clean in that game. But graphics are so last gen.

If these new screenshots represent the final look of the game (minus motion blur/DoF) than the game has really come together. CM Dirt looks a bit better, but it's only 30fps.

If it hasn’t been mentioned already; 1080p (scaled) will be an available mode in Forza 2.

You know, scaling is a standard feature on X360:wink:

OK, I was excited about this game from a gaming aspect, and expressed previously (in this thread I think) that the graphics were good but not blowing me away... which didn't really matter that much.

But those new shots!?! That is either some impressive bullshot expertise + replay mode + the best possible scenery on the track, or... I'm going to be very, very pleased with the graphics in the game.

The actual gameplay graphics could lose quite a lot from those last few pics and still be extremely impressive.

    I do (system setup)

But for some odd reason; in the latest EGM issue (Future of Gaming), the producer or developer made a strange comment like “Forza will also include 1080p graphics (scaled)…the Xbox 360 has a very powerful scalar chip”. Which I thought was quite funny and strange since you can default it from the system setup for any game.

So why mention it all!? Why gloat over something that’s default in the system for any game? Unless; you can switch the resolution 720p/1080p in the game menu or during the middle of game play.

This game is shaping up real good. They are molding the piece of clay to a beuthiful sculpture.

Not to mention compression. Those 720p shots are less than 100kb each!

Its another way to throw the 1080p headline out there. Both MS and Sony have been doing it quite a lot lately with the "1080p supported" concept. Plus its another check mark on the back of the box so why not gloat on it :)

Just one thing... on the last batch of screenies, the Z's brake discs are stationary whilst the wheel is spinning. Hrm.

It's all down to how fast the wheel spins and the distance between spokes. Something like: at the speed a wheel spins, it is faster than the eye's sampling rate but isn't an exact multiple so you see the wheel 'creep'.

It might look funny in photo mode, but I don't think it will look too bad while spinning at 60 fps. They have a different model for the rims that get swapped in after spinning at a higher speed to appear blurry. It would probably be a pain/waist of resources to swap the brakes as well. Hopefully the brakes don't actually stand still while the tire rotates?

For 720p pics, there is too much compression to them.
