The Big Forza 2 Thread *

I just finished watching that awhile back, and seriously, that video just left me speechless for a couple of mins.

Im sure GT5 will have some really cool stuff up their sleeve, but I'd be severely disappointed if it didnt have some of the features that FM2 has.

Glad to see this game raising the bar for next gen racing sim games :D .

yea, this game is much much more than graphics.... it is incredibly deep :oops:
 
Haha, he just sold a copy of Forza 2 and an MS wheel once he started talking about how it takes into account all the physics calculations, being able to look at all the relevant data, etc. Very impressive.

That's real physics based gameplay.
 
Some of those shots look like last-gen Race Driver 3 ... Graphics are really disappointing, but on the other hand this game has awesome customisation and online features. It will hang on how well I like the handling.

I've seen some video, it looks great.
Nice cars, nice environment...
Driving seems great.

I have to say that artistic direction seems under what polyphony (not sure about the spelling lol) deliver, but, close enough if game play is here!
 

That looks - and more importantly, sounds - quite nice. I really don't like the large white area that's supposed to be light-reflection but looks like bloom overdone, but otherwise it looks ok. 60fps is more important for racing than 30fps. Also, I see a lot of things on screen here that I like (tire pressure, temperature, camber, clutch, etc.). Now support the G25 ... ;)
 
The rear left and the front right. Damages get pretty evenly spread left and right.
The rear left gets damaged on the first hit when the car spins around. The car is nearly perpendicular to the wall on the first hit. If you're going to nitpick like that and call it a bug, at least be correct about it.

As for the game, why isn't AF enabled? :mad: Please, use it for the road at least!

It should be interesting to raise form death the thread about xenos and AF in the tech section.

It should interesting to compare where are both competitors in this regard.

I find that the lake of AF is from an other age...
IS something really wrong?
AF cost is really low with modern gpu and it's a hell of a change as far as IQ is concerned.

well either way AF is supposed to be turned on in the final build according to T10 so let's not judge quite yet. :D
 
Turn10 can keep their AF if they exchange it for better car models ... :D Oh well, you can't have everything. Spectator mode is great too.

I will most likely take the day off work for this game. The level of detail is just amazing...

Are you kidding me?? This is a no-brainer day 1 purchase.

The game itself looks/sounds like it plays great already. For those thinking otherwise, I have this funny feeling your just tricking yourself.
