Sony Vita Games Thread

Yeah, I saw the blog entry for the demo. Might move my purchase day forward if I continue to hear good things about it. My Dark Souls dude is now about level 250. I seldom get summoned anymore. 8^(

Will wait a few more days to see if I am really over-leveled.

the game is nothing like dark soul, just pure boss rush mode. its closer to the xbox game phantom dust than anything else. But, the game looks, play and sound amazing, if only it has some texture filter....

I've been playing Guacamelee a bit more seriously, quite a lot of fun so far. I don't often enjoy these types of games, but this one seems rather excellent. So far I've only played on Vita - both d-pad and analog stick work great with the game, and the responsiveness of the Vita just continues to shine.

Haha, I am not looking for a Demon's Souls clone. An immersive demon/dragon slaying game with interesting MP support will do.

When will it be out ?

I just got it (Vita Wifi+Uncharted+8GB card =220€). :D

Any recommendations?

What kind of games do you like ?

My all-time Vita favorites are:
* Mutant Blob
* Rayman Origin

Special mentions:
* Gravity Rush. Cute game with charming characters but I couldn't get used to gravity control. Was going through it slowly before I lost my Vita.

* Uncharted:GA shows how you could broaden the shooter-heavy PS3 Uncharted formula. I like it a lot but your mileage will vary. Some complain that it starts slow, and hate the screen swipes. But there are a lot to like here. Try motion sniping.

PSP
* Persona 3 for PSP. My most played game on Vita. But they have Persona 4 for Vita now. ^_^
Should try both.

* Valkyria Chonicles 2. Horrible, horrible story. I just focus on the gameplay. It's as fun as the original VC if you skip all the cutscenes. ^_^

Others I haven't tried. Heard good things about them:
* Soul Sacrifice demo , out now. Real game out end of this month.
* Guacamelee
* LBP

EDIT:
I was going to check out DoA5+ and AC. Let me know what you think if you get them.

Also look at PS+ if you buy games regularly. It will fill your queue while you're busy with life and perhaps home console/PC games. I left mine on even though I was tied up for most of past 12 months.

Get Playstation Plus if you haven't already? (X2 if you have a PS3). Get some of the better cross play games if you have a PS3 ;) And for the rest, let your gaming taste decide ... There are a lot of games! I spent 70+ hours in Motorstorm and Trials of Montezuma (brilliant match three clone) alone.

Thanks for the tips, i'm playing Uncharted and SS demo, i'm enjoying both quite a lot:D. Probably i'll buy LBP and P4G next.

Uncharted, P4G, and Stardust get all my attention. P4G especially is a class act! I did like gravity rush; though I had issues with the camera angles and control during some of the boss fights.

If you haven't played on consoles yet, Rayman Origins is an amazing platformer on the Vita.

Okay, I got my replacement PS Vita. ^_^
Upgrading to firmware 2.11 as we speak. Let’s see how much has improved.

Oh it will take a while for Vita to redownload all my existing games. ^_^
At least 4-5 more hours to go !

Will get Soul Sacrifice when it’s all set.

dont forget Soooooooooooooul Sacrifice!!!!

I got it.

Did a quick check in Near. Guacamelee is the most popular game in Palo Alto. ^_^

I can now switch between the web browser and a full game (e.g., Metal Gear Solid HD) without getting kicked out of the game.

Folders are indeed useful.

Web browser is solid now. No more render bugs.

Youtube has been improved.

But...

Did I remember it wrongly ? I thought I used to be able to play Music Unlimited offline songs and play games at the same time ? Now Music Unlimited will pause the song automatically when I exit to LiveArea. It looks like only the default music player will continue to play a song in the background.

Flickr still crashes when I tap on my own photos. 8^/

Haven't tested the persistent wallpaper settings yet.

Yap, to replace a lost Vita. :LOL:

OS seems to freeze more now than before. Will probably turn off a few things and see who's the culprit.

I think your offline playlists haven't properly synced yet?

I created an offline playlist months ago on my old Vita.

Need to authorize the new Vita for offline playback. Then the app will sync the songs locally (again).

Once they are downloaded, I can play the songs in the background in any app.

the vita always has been smooth as butter for me and only freeze pre FW 1.8 to me. I ahve email and near syncing stuffs running too.
