Ok, so it’s not a new holiday. Sony’s Playstation Day is a press event in London on May 6th, showing off the PS3 and PSP titles for 2008; Resistance 2, HOME and Go! Explore will feature.

To involve gamers back home, the European Playstation Store will be updated twice, on Tuesday and Thursday, offering a host of new content.

May 6th - HAZE Demo
On Tuesday May 6th, Sony will kick off the celebration with a demo for Ubisoft and Free Radical’s upcoming shooter, HAZE. Using the experimental performance drug, Nectar, you can unleash your full range of powers at the detriment of your health. A previous press release from Ubisoft confirmed that the game’s four player co-op will feature in the demo.

You’ll also be able to try out Condemned 2 if you haven’t already; Monolith’s latest spooky tramp hunter. New Playstation Network titles that will be available are Blast Factor Advanced, High Velocity Bowling and Street Skater.

May 8th - Race Driver: GRID and Bourne Conspiracy Demos
The following Thursday sees a second update with two brand new demos; a taste of Codemasters’ latest TOCA racer, GRID and High Moon Studios’ extension of the Bourne experience, The Bourne Conspiracy.

I am afraid to listen to David Reeve and Kaz talk because the former made my hair stand the last time he spoke publicly, while the latter bombarded me with numbers and parade of games. Then the curtain closed.

Here's hoping they have some personal breakthrough tomorrow.

Here's hoping Kutargi and Harrison make an unannounced, super surprise, return, ensuring that Reeves and Kaz no longer have to speak. :D

Harrison was their best public face, IMO. And Kutargi was just plain entertaining to watch/read for multiple reasons.

Harrison was my favorite, but I can also see that he might not be the best guy for mass-market stuff.

However, Insomniac indicated on their podcast site that they were going to have some screenshots and stuff to release because of two media events happening in May, so I'm guessing this will be one of them, especially if both of these guys show up. It will also be interesting to see if they use the event to introduce someone to follow up Harrison in Europe or not.

I wonder if they are gonna reveal the "crazy looking"-game at this event?

Also it would be really nice to see some new stuff from Killzone 2.
EDIT: James Stevensson from Insomniac has hinted that KZ2 will be present at the show. :)

New KZ2 level.

Was hoping to go, but places are limited. It's for the whole of Europe.

haha, i'm going to play the waiting game i think. but i did see the comment from the insomniac rep on gaf...

Well not long to go - as long as there's no press embargo in place for days/weeks.

Sony is planning a press conference on Tuesday, 6th May in London during its PlayStation Day event at The O2 in Greenwich, and Eurogamer will be reporting live.

We're not normally interested in the trailers, but these will probably be talked about by Sony next week. So, there's footage of Siren Blood Curse, Buzz! Quiz TV, Secret Agent Clank, echochrome Apple, Play Compilation, and the Sony Press Conference itself.
