Quake 4: PC != xbox 360

There are stories of and actual chips to install into the machine being sent directly to developers. While nobody around the show was willing to go on record, word has it that the development of the Xbox 360 is advancing at a breakneck pace. Raffel laughs, "It looks like the hardware vendors are dealing with the kind of insane crunches software developers have been.

The last I heard the Beta kits were underclocked and not the final speeds.

There is going to be a LOT of 1st gen stinkers. Always is. It would be nice if titles like Q4, Prey, etc... would be delayed until (finished) and had some extra time to not only be "console" friendly, but also to exploit some of the console specific features and advantages. But it is more profitable to get it out of the door (especially on a platform that will be loaded with FPS) at launch and work on console-specific titles down the road.

i.e. don't expect too much from these titles. If you have a solid PC you will enjoy it much better there due to the fact it is its primary audiance. It is like playing a fighting game like Tekken or VF on a PC. It works, but it is just not the same.
