The ending really did suck, think Transformers ROTF bad. But other than that I enjoyed the game very much.

Short answer: Killzone isn't Call of Duty reskinned for space.Im using the ds3 and maybe its just me but it seems to take a boat-load of bullets to bring down regular helghan grunts, im almost sure im aiming for the head what gives?
I suspect the only reason this mode even exists is because of people who complained that KZ2 lacked a COD-like deathmatch mode (you could set up Warzone to be just TDM, but you spawned in your base). I do not intend to ever play it, even once, because if I wanted to play COD, I would.Phil said:Well I started playing the MP last night and had a few TDM (Guerrilla warfare?) games with Russo121. Initial impressions are frustrating once again.
(I would say what part im on but cant seem to find how to add spoiler tags )

Long answer: Enemies in Killzone do indeed take more bullets to bring down than your typical COD soldier, who will die in 2 or 3 shots. One headshot is never enough with low-caliber weapons, though it will often knock their helmets off. On top of that, the guns have far, far more recoil. That bouncing around isn't just cosmetic; your shots really do go all over the place when you hold the trigger down. Try firing in shorter, 2 or 3 round bursts.
KZ3 campaign is a lot like UC2 campaign in terms of structure, where you are in the beginning is about 60% through the entire campaign.
Yeah I think people are expecting shooter levels through and through, not a story telling game for KZ3.
Resistance:Fall of Men had this structure too. The cutscenes were narrated slideshows and the FPS segments were rather short.
Never got into the resistance series but i thought i remembered kz2 being longer in between the cutscenes. Oh well, im still enjoying the game cant wait to get into multiplayer:smile:
I haven't finished yet the singleplayer because I try to play 50% of the time single-player and the other half in multiplayer.
I agree with some comentaries made here as the cutscene transition could have been better. I like very much the idea of ammo boxes in solo, as they try to approach to the multiplayer experience.
I hate 2 things in multiplayer and it happened in KZ2 too - you can play in the isa or helgast team full of people and the other team with 3 or 4 players, as, you can have in the same team all generals and the other team just recruits. There should have been an option (checkbox) to choose equilibrated games avoiding these 2 things from happening - I know friends want to play together, but what's the interest of being all the time a "duck", or, hunting 3 to 4 "ducks"? Interesting no?! I don't think so and it takes me away from multiplayer.
I haven't encountered it yet (I played Warzone exclusively). If the problem is still there, they should definitely fix it. It's my #1 complain for KZ2. Second being the spawn grenade.
So far I like KZ3 MP gameplay more than KZ2 because I can at least try some strategies/tactics and have a decent chance of succeeding without the clusterf*cks. But I miss the KZ2 maps because they look so cool, and unique. I just want to carry all of them over ! ^_^
I played through the KZ2 campaign again just before this game came out, and head shots were not an insta-kill with assault rifles or weaker weapons. They were with the shotgun and maybe the battle rifle (or that might just have been face shots). Same as in KZ3, their heads are not especially vulnerable while they are still wearing helmets.i played and beat KZ2 and in no way was i expecting this to be a cod clone. I just dont remember it taking multiple head shots to down a guy.
I'm also too busy playing MAG to get into the MP on this game.
