Cool at least someone pickup on my surround gaming for console idea.

I'm pretty sure that you'd need 3 displays for surround gaming. If you got 2 displays, then you're staring at a line in the middle. Who'd want to play UT with the sights split in two?

Yes, 3 was what I want to see, but 2 is a start.

I'd love to see who has 2 hdtvs of a decent size in the same room with them right next to each other .... then i want to crash on his couch !

can someone please post/link GT5 pics? or aren't they available yet?

The one on the video were GT4 footage it seems, than just some pre rendered stuff of what GT5 suppose to look like.

To be honest, the F1 footage was more impressive than GT5.

Yeah it kinda was

I know nobody posted this stuff so I'm going to do it now.

Dr. Richard Marx, the inventor of EyeToy, was on hand to show off the PS3's wireless HD IP Camera. The demo, recalled rumors that the machine will have Minority Report-esque motion-sensing capabilities. Marx held two small cup-like objects in his hands, which move the cups on the screen in real time.

and

The Cell in PS3 can decode up to 12 HD streams simultaneously at full frame rate. Sony also showed off Cell displaying 1000 movie thumbnails at the same time"

Doesn't anybody think this is outer this world.

There is no HD standard as 1080P

1080p is a standard ATSC resolution.

http://www.atsc.org/standards/a_54a.pdf

Please refer to page 24- table 5.1

There is 1080P standard only for 30 frames, not 60.. When I mentioned, there is no 1080P, I mean there is no 60 frames/sec 1080P.

The ATSC committee is in the process of adding it to the spec. Regardless, it is a defacto standard, since every major TV vendor at CES'05 was supporting it, although it requires a special interface on some sets.

Watching the conference vid... That demo of the new UT engine was friggin' amazing. And the Final Fantasy Tech Demo?

***edit***

That Eyetoy demonstration with the cups in the bathtub was rather, erm, thought-provoking as well. (I'll resist the urge to shout, "REVOLUTION!!!11" :)

So can you link two PS3's together to get this effect?

Say you want to play Killzone 2 with two HD screens, you can add a second PS3 to allow this?
