Playstation 3 e3 thread 2

Even Xbox 1 could have a 1080p game, doesn't mean it would ever run well. There aren't even any HDTVs that support real 1080p resolutions. Any that claim to simply upscale the resolution.

Don't be fooled, the PS3 was sick. It was all real-time. They even did this crazy rubber duck demo. Yikes. It works off a new EyeToy. They had a tub with a lot of water and a rubber ducky in it. Then the EyeToy inventor came out holding a green cup and a blue cup. Wherever he moved the cups, two digital glasses on the screen would move around the gameworld. So he has two real glasses and they are translated into two digital cups that he could dip into the bath tub (which was governed by real physics) and then realistically pour water into each of the cups. The bathtub water even waved realistically. It helped that everything being shown was running in 720p."

Cool at least someone pickup on my surround gaming for console idea.

I'm pretty sure that you'd need 3 displays for surround gaming. If you got 2 displays, then you're staring at a line in the middle. Who'd want to play UT with the sights split in two?

More options are always good...but I'm not seeing a particularly large audience / support for multi display console.

I don't care, as long as I can enjoy it, I don't care if others can or not.
