People Can Fly's new shooter from Epic, Bulletstorm

The demo is rather short 5~6 min long.
And it seems that you get like 5 different skillshots.
Kinda disappointing for a demo.

5-6 mins??????? Is that the shortest demo in the history of gaming?!!?!?

I won't bother downloading if it is that short. Whats the size of the demo?

I played through the demo, I found it fairly enjoyable. The play is really smooth, nothing extraordinary about the graphics. Dunno if I'll buy it right away, I still have a lot of unplayed games lying around, but I might grab it when its discounted.

Pro: Wacky weapon ideas that I'd expect from the makers of Painkiller
Con: bland and boring gameplay premise that basically seems like a copy of The Club (Point A to B, gain points for killing in special ways). I'm no expert in game design or production or directing, but copying a game that failed may not be the best idea.

I like the demo a lot. There seems to be more depth to the skillshots then I had first thought. It really lets you be creative with weapons in a way I've only seen Rfom do.

Doesnt help it came out next to the Crysis demo which kind of takes the graphical shine off it :p Still a nice looking game by normal standards though.

Just kind of seems like a bad demo, they should have thrown a boss in at the end, something impressive.

I believe the demo is from one of the lesser impressive looking areas, the areas I saw in other videos looked much better (hell the area in the menu screen looks nice).

The captures are of quite low quality, no doubt about that.
Anyways, for one the lighting and shadowing are real time, something new for a UE3 game. I can see this game looking amazing with SSAA.

Ahh so it got realtime shadows and lighting. That sure will cost a lot of perfomance vs previous UE games. Tradeoffs then and bad captures to.

The game looks fine to me, especially the art, but I saw way more impressive areas in the videos included with the game's demo. Anyway, I sorta like the colour and graphical tone of the game as a whole.

After trying the demo though, I know it's not the kind of game I like, also the crude over-acted dialogue and style puts me off.

I rather prefer Crysis 2 style after playing its demo.... and much praise from PC users.
