You may have been surprised by our statements on value for money (PLV) after introducing this article, but the numbers prove it: In the current high-price environment, the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti has a good PLV. Let's be honest, this is an easy undertaking in addition to various graphics cards for four-digit euro sums, but deserves explanatory words. First, let's look at PLV in rasterizing (orange bar). Here, the Radeon RX 7900 XT and Geforce RTX 4070 Ti are at eye level - provided that the market price for the AMD card does not drop even further and the Nvidia GPU is actually available from 900 euros. If, on the other hand, the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti is offered for 1,000 euros (without factory overclocking), the price-performance ratio suffers massively - and still exceeds that of the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090.

Apart from that, there are not many alternatives to the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti. The Radeon RX 7900 XT is on average 12 percent faster in rasterizing, but costs at least 1,000 euros and requires about 20 percent more energy. In fact, the price-performance ratio of the two graphics cards is equally good (or bad) in rasterizing, while the RTX 4070 Ti offers significantly more performance per euro in ray tracing. All alternative graphics cards are older and therefore have worse efficiency values, but are cheaper. You are spoilt for choice.

Long story short: The Geforce RTX 4070 Ti is more than the "one-eyed among the blind". This graphics card is fast, efficient and has everything you need to experience smooth gaming hours for the foreseeable future. It is by no means a bargain, but the definition of "inexpensive" is determined by everyone personally. If you can wait (further), there will probably be another chance for an affordable graphics card in a few months: with the Geforce RTX 4070 (Non-Ti).
