Nvidia GeForce RTX 40x0 rumors and speculation

So much for a "rename" and "price drop".
Guess the grand idea is to plug that range with the remainder of GA102 SKUs for the time being.
Will be "fun" if the lineup will end up being AD104-GA102-AD103-AD102.

According to that it will still be the same AD104 chip, with same memory amount and just with disabled SMs / lower clock speeds. That doesn't prove that Nvidia couldn't just sell it for less. Just that it's margin would be lower.

Plot twist: it was just disabled via bios, and when you cross flash it with rtx 4080 12GB bios, it became rtx 4080 12GB
