Nintendo is done in the home console market.

And why is that? Because they did not show much of a console launching in 18mo in the US? MS is showing the Xbox 360 6mo before launch, why cannot Nintendo do that???

.... :? *I'm still waiting for something Revolution related, other than how it looks like* .........

Phil, the Nintendo Press release I posted early stated what would be shown and it was. They are not showing the controller or giving specs at E3.

I do not understand why people expected such... Nintendo made it pretty clear that only bits and pieces would be talked about. I know I was not expecting much based on what Nintendo said they would show. I was surprised they even showed the console case.

cha na na naaaah....
i actualy laughed out loud at that.

i'm excited about revolution, even though it's just another way for nintendo to sell me the same games again

Can be please keep the pathetic trolls out of this thread. Johnny moron and clonk I'm looking at you two.
Excuse me? Mind keeping the insults to yourself? Though the delicious irony of you using petty insults when asking to stop "pathetic trolls" was kinda funny.

I think it's absolutely a valid statement of me to make -- Nintendo hasn't shown anything that will show they'll take any kind of leadership position or gain marketshare.

Their future in the home console market is troubled, it is making more and more sense for them to just go the software-only route ala Sega. The press conference was an embarrassment.

I'm sorry that's not what you want to hear.

Exactly. It's over a year away. It's better to not even talk specs now. Who knows what they're going to put inside Revolution a year from now.

The ability to play old games is kinda neat... but a revolution? Is there something more to the control or video they haven't alluded to here?

I'm very excited about Revolution..I didn't get a Gamecube, but I think I'll definitely get a Revolution alongside the PS3 :)

Zelda, Mario and all those first party titles...sweet!

Speng.

I hear you Acert, but........

 I mean, come on. Microsoft got their message out, just as did Sony. When is Nintendo going to release their info? As it stands, my anticipation for Revolution just went down the drain. I have no faith what so ever. The design absolutely rocks, but sadly, that wasn't enough info. It's not even the fact that they avoided marketing hype spec numbers (kudos Nintendo) - I am more disappointed by the fact that this conference was all about DS, GameBoy and GameCube software. It's the message I am disappointed in. I'm truly stunned. As it stands, I have absolutely no idea where Nintendo wants to take its revolution. As it stands, it's just a pretty design with the ability to play all Nintendo games ever.

Insulting someone who posts a stupid pointless and contentless comment in the middle of a conference thread doesn't make me a troll. But posting something like that from out of nowhere certainly makes you one.

As for the old played out rubbish about 3rd party (which all but the most ardent trolls have given up on by now), why don't you start a new thread about it or something? Then you can argue about it to your hearts content.
