Motorstorm screens

Wouldn't the game being in fast motion address those for a large part already, at least the texture resolution (which imo is pretty much standard next gen quality, not better not worse. The large stretched rock textures look pretty bad in all games where you seldom spend time close to said rock ogling at the texture, unlike in games like fps's)

What's the point for a developer to put resources to some high resolution rock texturing on a fast, constant moving racing game, where that detail would go to waste most of the time?

Animated minor details and such in a racing game are fine for those few moments in replays where tha camera happens to be on right position on right time (or set up to catch those moments), but during gameplay I'm sure there are places whee those resources can be put to better use.
AA would not be obviated by quick motion. Texture resolution is not as important, but it's still noticeable. I think you underestimate the eye's ability to see detail in quick motion.

Great video of the new build with internal view.

And a strange tilt option in the pause menu. What is this?:?:

EDIT: I know, it is for the tilt sensor

Some kind of dead zone/sensitivity calibration I'd assume. I think they're using the tilt for melee attacks/taunts.

The game looks like a total blast, online should be wild. Not really feeling that third person camera though, first person has a much better sense of speed and immersion (seeing all the bumps in the terrain and whatnot).

I prefer the internal view except for motorbike.

I have been extremely surprised with this game since it looks like a lot of fun, especially online.

The only thing that i think they need is to make it faster. The third person camera parts looks too slow compared with the 1st person camera ones.

The only thing that bugged me on the video's was the foliage going though the vehicle's, other than that it looks very very fun :D

There is a little detail I really like. It cannot be seen that well on the showfloor vids, but in the trailers.
The car paint is really staying colourfull when the vehicle is in a shawdowed area, almost like a glow effect wich makes the lighting look good. Personally I find that very sexy somehow.

Man, this game looks like a lot of fun. A big "Paris to Dakar", "anything goes", sandbox-type online race would be a friggin' blast.

This game can be easily a AAA titel if the 12 tracks are varied enough and are pretty big which I’m afraid will not be the case.

for me this is the most impressive game of the show. It's engaging, fun, great graphics and effects + the lighting is insanely good.

I wonder if there will be any night races with spot lights set around the track, that you can bust out over the time of the race while being able to bust out your own lights..
