Motorstorm screens

The astounding clarity on that car in the 2nd-to-last pic while the rest of the world is motion-blurred makes it look pretty wonky. :p

Is it just me or are the countries listed on www.motorstorm.com just PAL countries?

Yeah I think the game was planned for european launch before the delay, I guess we will find out what happens for US launch at tgs. I hope it comes here for launch. I'm starting to think this will be my next title next to resistance. Me and the family would have a great time with this one I can imagine, the online should put some value into it, not to mention the music feature sounds kinda cool.

Wow this game is shaping up greatly. It's approaching the target render the more develpment time it gets. Its not exactly the same quality yet but it's not very very far off either. Seeing the difference between the first and the last WRC I wonder how the next motorstorm will shape up later on the pS3 if thats only 1st gen

I like the screenshot where that car is falling off from the track, I wonder if you could be eliminated like that in online game. Would make it much more interesting.

Downscaling adds AA and masks poor texture resolution, both of which Motorstorm has suffered from at one point or another during its development.

They do look good, though.

Yeah but this is definately a next gen game, not something that should be shown on a SD setup. The pictures dont do this game justice, at all. We have all seen the old screens, complained about them, but when the trailer hit all of the screens were basically thrown out of the window. Unless your viewing the game in a slideshow I dont see the point. I'm sure when we get another video of the game we will have a similar reaction to the last video.

It looks nicer with each set of new pics and it already looked great. This is one of my must have games for sure.

Wouldn't the game being in fast motion address those for a large part already, at least the texture resolution (which imo is pretty much standard next gen quality, not better not worse. The large stretched rock textures look pretty bad in all games where you seldom spend time close to said rock ogling at the texture, unlike in games like fps's)

What's the point for a developer to put resources to some high resolution rock texturing on a fast, constant moving racing game, where that detail would go to waste most of the time?

Animated minor details and such in a racing game are fine for those few moments in replays where tha camera happens to be on right position on right time (or set up to catch those moments), but during gameplay I'm sure there are places whee those resources can be put to better use.
