MGS4 TGS 2006 trailer = gameplay (+ sound teaser)

The trailer also shows a number of battle situations, in doors and out. And we're not talking just Snake with a gun here. It appears that the Metal Gear Mark II robot that's operated by Otacon will also be capable of attacking. One scene shows Mark II extending a wire out and shocking an enemy soldier.

Speaking on MGS4 with Famitsu, Kojima made note of one of the big updates from previous titles. The game is no longer about "sneaking missions." You have a goal, and you're free to decide how to get there. You can use stealth to get to the goal with minimal resistance, or you can kill off all your enemies.

Notably, the six minute trailer will be entirely made up of a compilation of gameplay sequences, apparently :D
 
GOD, I swear. I need to apply to metal gear solid addiction clinic or something, this game will eat my soul. :(

EDIT: This game sounds better and better everytime something surfaces. :D
 
Does anyone else think the lighting looks very flat? Doesn't seem as deep as the previous trailers.

To be honest it's hard to judge the lighting from scans. So no comment on that. But from I can tell it's seems that Snake's body suit has been somewhat reduced. At least it looks as if it has less polygons than the previous trailers.
 
i think you can just hide them with the right angles in cinematics. also there have always been better models in cinematics because you can control the detail more. sort of ignoring the normal LOD rules.
